Minato Shoji Koinrandori
P: "I want to grow up quicker, so I can date Minato-san." Akira Minato inherited his grandfather's coin laundry. And so, the middle-aged former corporate drone, Akira, peacefully ran the well-loved coin laundry. One day, a high-school student, Shintaro Katsuki, enters the coin laundry. Despite the difference in age, they quickly became friends. However, Shintaro suddenly finds out that Akira is gay... O: This looks pretty promising!! The art is very pleasing to the eyes. The age gap is a bit hmm, but Minato does know his boundaries. I'm ngl this manga totally seems like yaoi not shounen-ai because of the vibes..
Karera o Meguru Subete
P: Fujiwara, a high school student with an excessive predisposition to misfortune, lives at a seaside town with his alcoholic father. One morning, after suffering the violence from his father, he fell into the sea. Fujiwara was saved by the refreshing college student, Oono. Fujiwara falls in love at first sight with the kind and handsome Oono. After that encounter, Fujiwara's world becomes vividly colored for the first time...? O: Wtf... Oono just asked for a date after being exposed that he's gay..? LOL they became boyfriends before actually doing stuff on their date wtf ?? lol and straight to tongue kissing then straight to doing it... I'm speechless... bruh Fujiwara is technically a minor... everything progressed way to quickly. "I hope to do lots of lewd things together with Kei-kun from now on." ......................... not really liking the vibe of this manga tbh, makes me feel uncomfortable. Also conveniently Kei's dad sobers up and no more unlucky things occur after he dates Oono. Wasn't toxic, but as someone else said, it feels like a predatory relationship
Hoshi Dake Ga Shitteru
P: Terrible things happening in succession has college student Sora down, leading him to get lost on his way home. When he tries to find his way back, he accidentally stumbles upon a man gazing at the stars (Kengo). They chat, and a connection between them starts to form. O: Pretty nice and cute! It's a slow-paced chill read. Felt slightly lacklustre ngl, but that's probs just me. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Twilight (Nishimoto)
P: Lonely high school student Youhei doesn’t belong to anywhere, be it his home or his school. That time, he ran into Ryou, a classmate who is also an ace in soccer club. The two were gradually drawn to each other, but… After an accident, their relationship was changed significantly. That was the beginning of a distorted pure love that would last for several years later… O: Felt a bit iffy about this, but I gave it another go. It's not bad, but the art style doesn't sit well w/ me tbh. Yikes ofc that girl was an b :/ Rather than calling it a feel good manga, it kept making me wanna cry tbh... lots angst. Some elements of the story were a bit eh.... but it was an ok read overall
Dear Green: Hitomi No Ounowa
P: Eight years ago, Yajima and Outomi met in high school, through Ryouko, Yajima's best female friend and Outomi's girlfriend at the time. Ryouko remained in their home town, but Yajima and Outomi moved to Tokyo and remained close friends through university, and after Yajima dropped out. Yajima feels comfortable with Outomi -- unlike with his girlfriend. Then one day Outomi kisses another guy just to see what it would feel like, and Yajima gets agitated beyond what seems reasonable for even a close friendship. O: This was a nice read ^^ A slow-paced romance.
Dear Gene
P: Trevor Edwards has finally made it as a New York lawyer. His success is put in jeopardy when he loses an envelope containing confidential work documents. Thankfully, his guardian angel arrives—Gene, a young homeless man, found the letter and searched high and low to return it to him. Seeing his shabby state and unable to leave his savior in the cold, Trevor offers Gene a job as a live-in housekeeper. This is the story of a beautiful amish youth and a gay lawyer living together in the heart of New York City. O: Really interesting, I found myself liking this more than Rumspringa no Joukei, but both are pretty good. Can't believe I finally got to see the ending! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The last chapter was full of emotions.
19 Days
P: The cute and funny adventures of a boy, Jian Yi, and his best friend Zheng Xi. Also contains an evil schoolmate, He Tian and Mo Guan. O: Amazing! I love the development :’3 Bahaha is it bad that I like He Tian..? He is so badass, evil and hilarious. Wish the plot moved quicker though... it seems quite dragged out. The friendship between the 4 is awesome. This always makes my day :) JY is the long-haired blonde dude btw
Chicken Heart Serenade
P: Kurahashi and Matsune had a casual relationship as friends with benefit. One day, Matsune visited a kimono shop where Kurahashi worked with a woman. Seeing Matsune's outgoing manner which was completely different from his usual personality, Kurahashi was delighted and made fun of him. Later, Kurahashi found out that the woman was actually Matsune's matchmaking partner. They continued their relationship after that, but...? O: I couldn't really feel the chemistry btwn them tbh, but it wasn't a bad read I suppose. Some bits made me laugh, and the extras added more to the story
Restart wa Tadaima no Ato de
P: Mitsuomi Kozuka quits his job due to his boss. He then decides to return to his hometown located in the countryside for the first time in 10 years. There Mitsuomi Kozuka meets Yamato Kumai, the stepson of old man Kumai, who runs a farm near the home of Mitsuomi Kozuka's parents. Mitsuomi Kozuka and Yamato Kumai soon become good friends, but one night Mitsuomi Kozuka kisses Yamato Kumai while he is sleeping... O: A wholesome, feels good read. Nothing major really happens, overall chill vibe.
