Sugar Trap
P: If there was a closet inside a closet, Joohwan would hide there. He's that desperate to hide that he's gay. Still, he's doing a pretty good job at hiding his sexual orientation, on his way to a promotion at his job, and has everything going great...right until he crosses paths with Sihyun during a major presentation for work. Unfortunately, Sihyun is devastatingly attractive. Perhaps attractive enough to drag Joohwan out of the closet... O: The synopsis sounds kinda lame, but this is actually pretty good lol. unprecedented
P: For indie band vocalist Hoyeong, music is everything—his passion, his life, his identity. But when the charismatic CEO of a famous fashion label, Lee Yijun, approaches him with an unexpected offer to model for his brand, Hoyeong’s world is turned upside down. As their creative worlds of music and fashion collide, Ho-Young finds himself drawn into a whirlwind of emotions, desires, and unexpected connections that challenge everything he thought he knew about himself. In the tension between fame and authenticity, will Hoyeong be able to find his true voice? O: Interesting premise... I like their builds. This is a minor nitpick, but sometimes Hoyeong's piercings randomly disappear in a few panels. Also their first time was kinda dubious.
Someone Like You
P: When tragedy strikes and tears young Shinwoo's family apart, the charming Han swoops in like a prince and saves the timid boy with his kindness. So it comes as a huge shock to Shinwoo when his new friend and crush suddenly ghosts him after graduation. Initially, Shinwoo just thinks that Han got tired of him due to his fickle ways. But when the two reunite as adults, it turns out that Han has strangely little memory of their time together. As he slowly recalls their past, however, Han realizes that the quiet boy left a surprisingly deep impact on him in all sorts of unexpected ways. And because Shinwoo is very much his type, he's determined to do whatever it takes to win him over. There's just one unanswered mystery lingering in the air between them: why exactly did Han forget about Shinwoo in the first place? O: Ooh this is really interesting! Nice slow burn. It seems a reason why they drifted apart was probably differing expectations. Shinwoo didn't like to cling to people and especially not to Han as he doesn't want him to get sick of him. The thing with Han is that if he gets sick of something/someone, he'll completely lose interest. Meanwhile Han wanted a bit more proactiveness from Shinwoo and ended up getting jealous of Jeonghyeon and then eventually started brushing him off bruh... :( C13 - LMAOO THIS COMMENT HITS HOME - Poop fart face: "When the guy you kept ignoring ignores you back:" currently at c20
We Won't Call It Love
P: Touji had been enjoying a peaceful life alongside his partner, Kyoto. Unexpectedly, he crossed paths with his old high school friend, Yachiyo, during his grandmother's funeral. It had been two long years since they last saw each other, right after Yachiyo's wedding. Their friendship had become distant due to a past incident in high school. "At that moment, I failed to comprehend the significance of it all, and by the time I did, it was already too late—a haunting memory. The emotions that I believed I had let go of resurfaced, engulfing me as we crossed paths once more..." O: This is so well-paced and really drags you in... my only complaints is that the art quality feels like it decreased as the chapters progressed and the ending of volume 1 leaves a lot to be desired... why did it have to end so ambiguously man. I feel like this is missing a little bit that would make it >8.5 I'm so indecisive when it comes to who to root for
