Kiss Shite Sugar-kun!
Might be reading too much into this... But this story especially felt real to me. The author has a way of creating characters that portray emotions so deeply. This manga really spoke to me. I thought it would be about some regular high school love that ends in fluff and has a clear antagonist. But it was an internal struggle instead. I understood the feeling of fear that the characters felt in not being good enough and not understanding the feelings enough. The feeling in which it was as if they were missing something important. Of also not being able to understand the world around them and then coming to the sudden realization. The scene where the bottom bursts into tears and the one last scene for his performance were especially moving. This isn't just some weird story as other comments may suppose. Beautifully portrayed.
Hidoku Shinaide
I was really skeptical about this manga in the beginning. And the entire time I felt so gaslit on behalf of the uke. It made me think "wtf? how did this manga get a 9.5 it's literallg trash". However, it does really well in redeeming itself. Ths relationship progression was amazing. And you hardly come by such accurafe character development. In my eyes it portrays two people who are both toxic in their own ways but yet they love each other so much they stick with each othee and change for the better aa they go. From possessiveness to a lack of self-confidence. These two learn to accept and love each other despite relationship struggles. And what I love most is that it doesnt show a huge growth in a short period of time. Their toxic traits still exist. But they learn over time to curb these traits due to thwir partner. Im just rambling now. But really give this a chance. The most realistic portrayal of a relationship that goes at a slow pace.
