Ame's manga / #School Life(68)

I didn't cry in the end or at all I don't think but I think it may be simply because I was angry at it and I could relate to it so it simply made me feel numb if anything. It brings back a lot of nostalgia and reminded me of my regrets in high school and really made me rethink life, in a good way. This manga was also quite toxic and the ending wasn't a sappy or an exaggeratingly happy one, it was real but also heavy. Also, despite being an ending, there is still this weight that I can't get rid of so I just can't get myself to cry like I want to - it doesn't feel like it's over because it didn't make me smile with happiness in the end. The manga is so good because it's able to bring out so many emotions in the reader, like I feel so much anger when I read this (I wanted to drop kick my laptop at one point) but at the same time so much numbness and internal pain, I just wanted the characters to be happy but the road to happiness is so painful yet in some ways so painstakingly beautiful. I would not recommend this for the weak-hearted.
