One of the best stories I've read in every genre. The art is beautiful and the center piece of this masterpiece is the definition of a power uke. The term must have been created just for him, seriously! He's a stunningly beautiful, very smart, cunning, masochistic and promiscuous mafia boss. Disgusted by tenderness and love from past traumas. The second male lead is a dull and seemingly impotent ex-cop who enrolls in the mafia under the first male lead. He fell for him the other doesn't want to hear about it, nor feel anything. Because the best way to get hurt is to care... The narration is excellent, it's hilarious, smart and witty. It's entertaining with a touch of angst and drama. Great !

To read for anyone, at any time in life. So many life lessons in this story it should be taught in schools. The pace is slow yet you are kept in angst all the time. The author found the perfect words to convey all the emotions and turmoil the characters experience, from fluffiness and joy to sadness and anger. A true masterpiece on love, friendship, acceptance and the pressure of society in the wrap of school life.

Really nice. Both couples are interesting: one is passionate, secretive and a little dark, while the other is cute, fluffy and kind. It's really interesting.

There's a feeling of lightness in this story, like if floating all along, although it's deeply melancholic. But still this intensity.... It must have something to do with the importance of sea and the the omnipresence of water. The story is beautifully written and told.
