Though it starts out seeming like straight-up smut with bad BDSM etiquette, Blood Bank delves into a dark supernatural world, and a deep plot slowly unravels. The character development can be a bit confusing at times, but is still wonderful overall. (Not to mention that the BDSM relationship goes from under-negotiated kink to safe, sane, and consensual [complete with safeword!]) In the end, it's a fantastic work - an emotional rollercoaster complete with smut, angst, fluff, and comedy.

An interesting read. The art is gorgeous, honestly; Giju and Young-do are beautifully drawn (especially Young-do's tattoos!), and Yuju is honestly adorable. The story itself is a bit convoluted. It's fairly easy to follow in certain parts, but there's more than just one story being told (though they inevitably intertwine). Giju's backstory and the plotline with Yuju are the easiest to keep up with [In my opinion], but eventually everything gets a bit rougher to comprehend - especially the ending. I had to read the comments to fully comprehend what happened. I still have questions that I feel should have been answered in the story, and I'm a bit disappointed that I don't really understand what happened with certain characters. All in all though, it's a good read, despite the confusion.

I already have one other work by this author in my 'Want To Read', and I'm adding the other in just a moment. The artwork is beautiful, I love the style and character design. Ah yes, the characters - I'm a sucker for character growth, and that definitely takes place! And add in that [spoiler:] surprise redemption arc there at the end - I'm one happy reader :3 The only reason I didn't give this story 5 stars is one instance of questionable consent [basically non-con] between the main characters. Though it's brought up once after it happens, they don't talk about it. It was an act of self-destruction for one, and the other character realizes this, but it's not discussed like I feel it should be. All-in-all though, it's a great story! Angst, small twists, an underlying metaphor, and a happy ending - I highly suggest this read.

Okay, wow. What a wild ride. The plot was a lot more intricate than it seemed at first, and I wholly enjoyed this story. The complex backgrounds and relationships between the characters really drew me in, I just had to see the whole story through. There's a constant undercurrent of uncertainty, a shadow of angst that doesn't disappear even in lighthearted scenes. The idea that Taemin will never really be himself again is saddening - i'm scared to imagine myself in that situation. Anyway - the art! oh the A R T!! it's so beautiful, the style is unlike so many that you see, absolutely stunning work honestly! (And here Prince fights the urge to rant about Jiwook and what a horrible brat he is.) In the end, I highly recommend this read! However, mind the tags!!! There is a fair amount of mild on-screen violence, a suicide that is mentioned repeatedly, and r*pe that does take place on-screen (in a flashback). Take care of yourself and don't read if any of these things may trigger you!

Awwwwwwhhh yay! Adorable story with some dark moments, but a wonderful ending! The dynamic between the two main characters - especially in bed - is unique and adorable and I honestly wish I could see more of these two! They're both sweethearts and I want them to be happy forever (Is that too much to ask?) [Also, a rigger/rope artist who bottoms??? I'm living for it. I need more content like this asap.]
