The writing is insane! The art is insane! The characters are so lovely and the bond between them made me bawl a million times! I had so much fun reading this. I forgot how amazingly rich dungeon theme could be after tons of tons of unimaginative isekai and fantasy works i've read, so this manga is a complete palate cleanser (and shocker!) to me. I love, love, love how this manga is a silly adventure story about people cooking comforting dishes out of monsters at first glance, when it's truly an extremely well written fantasy story with diverse, complex characters and worldbuilding. The story is dense and not stretched thin to milk the popularity (looking at you, isekai / fantasy manhwas), it's the perfect balance of humor, heartwarming, and thought provoking moments, not to mention the illustration is insanely beautiful -- i truly think this is my number one fantasy manga of all time.

I've been putting off reading this for so long, and now i see that i should've waited longer.... i'm left feeling empty and changed at the same time. Such a great manga.

Holy shittt the grip this has on me. The whole time i was reading as if my heart was on my throat, i couldn't stop even a second. The writing is really well done, it's creepy, mysterious, sad, incredibly fucked up, yet it's also touching and funny at times. It's fun to read, albeit a little unsettling--but that's why i loved it a lot.

Oh man oh mannn this was SUCH a great read! It's been on my to read list for so long and honestly? I kinda regret reading it now because it just made me feel a LOT, like a lot, lot. It managed to touch on the little hurts and pains that i've felt throughout my life growing up as a queer person, while also giving a hope for a better future. And there's not much of BL/queer works that have that big of an impact on me these days, so i wish i'd treasured it more.
