People hyped this so much so i think that made my expectation sky rocketed. Especially seeing how people said that this was not stereotypical ABO manga. And yes, that statement is true to some extent, but at its base, everything is incredibly subpar and cliche.

Too many inconsistencies, the narrative is awful, the crime is always black and white and the supposed touching or inspirational scenes are problematic........ sigh. I was excited when i found this manga but i dont think i'll continue reading.

Dropped. Read the raws and thought it would be cute but it ended up problematic, especially how the characters perceived gay couple.

Dropped. I feel like there's some problematic undertones slipped in here and there. It's pretty sexist sometimes, for example the ones who often got into trouble are girls, women in here were either a great cook, an exhibitionist flirt (who's often naked around underaged boys, mind you), and someone unbearable. MC had to constantly "teach" ways of life to his girl classmates and almost all of the grownups he looked up to were men. The life lessons are very in your face too, so it just rings hollow most of the time. It does have good points however. The latest arc (Hase's grandfather) was pretty good.The world building overall is great, the bond between main characters is not bad, MC was a guy who's not afraid to show his vulnerability and affection to people he trust, and a lot of positivity (eg mental health).

This book is just not for me. Other than being annoyed with the kid (he's not actually annoying. He's a normal, realistically written kid and i don't like him simply because i don't like children irl) i was also annoyed by the constant nagging MC gets for being himself. I stopped reading because at one point i got annoyed (again) when the kid got too excited for a christmas party and i was like GOD, i'm too much of an asshole to read this kind of book lmao

Dropped. Sorry but i just cant take the MC seriously. "Red candy" was supposed to be a legendary agent but he keeps getting flustered by the target and making mistakes left and right during a high rank mission? Yeah right. Pretty entertaining at first but turned boring and formulaic, and the sex scenes aren't even enjoyable to read.

Ahh yes. The classic rapist who blames the victim for seducing him then throws him away like nothing, yet somehow the victim still fell in love with him. And the fact that he's a police makes it a thousand times better!
