Hyung's manga / #Psychological(13)

Warehouse

Complete | Team Killerwhale | 2016 released

I will defend my "why would anybody use the romance tag for this?" tag forever. This was some fucked up shit, ok. There is kidnapping, rape, and so much unresolved trauma that literally lasts until the very last side story. Both MCs start out looking like terrible people. It was difficult to feel any sympathy for either character throughout the story and the ending left me pitying them. Man, that was a ride bc the backstories were set up like a mystery.

Just because I think he's compelling doesn't mean I like him as a person, man. Bruh.

this is a seriously upsetting manhwa, don't read if you can't handle witnessing repeated sexual assault because it just gets worse as it goes on.

A very interesting read. It's about a young man seeking revenge who meets a clinical psychopath, and the mess that unfolds from there is really good. The story has mature themes that deal with crime, murder, backstabbing (the non-literal kind, hurhur), morality, and psychopathy. It's quite good! (There's extra content featuring the author's explanations for some of the later chapters, which I'm glad were included. Puts some perspective into those that might want to romanticize the main relationship.)

Interview with a Murderer

A reporter has the chance to interview a serial killer -- a chance provided him from an ex-lover who is also a psychiatrist. The tension between the characters slowly ramps up from there, as their relationships begin to twist and knot together. Personally, I found the story and character development to be incredibly satisfying to read. The climax of the story and its ending were *chef's kiss*. This is not a love story. There is no romance here. This is a story about the darker concept of love -- about how warped it can be, how it can cause people to ignore clear signs of danger, and how its absence can tip people over the edge. This was so well-done.

Stalker's Game

A socially isolated office worker becomes the target of a deranged stalker whose tactics grow increasingly invasive and obsessive over time. Ah. So, the ending. *No spoilers, tho* The ending is probably one of the worst ones I've ever read BUT... the MC's actions are also understandable if you look at the situation through the lens of trauma and maladaptive coping mechanisms. (Honestly, idk. Maybe I put too much thought into how the situation would've effected the MC psychologically and how the MC seemingly tried to protect himself from irreparable psychological harm.) Overall, it was an interesting read, albeit a twisted one.

My Fiance is in Love with My Little Sister

Oh my god, this is the most depressing shit. I would like a refund. ;_;

Free in Dreams

Ongoing | 2l | 2019 released

Trigger warning for bullying and self-harm thoughts, ok? Ok. So I like how the lucid dreaming aspect develops as a story device, as well as how characters progress through everything that happens. There's thoughts of revenge everywhere and people get hurt emotionally and physically all over the place. Reading this makes me scared of teenagers, lol, I almost couldn't get through certain parts because you just know whats coming and there's nothing you can do to stop it. It gets a little yandere-y around the 30-40ish chapters. 5/5 very interesting.
