To be fair, at the time there really wasn't any depth to characters in yuri so this was a breath of fresh air. Despite both women harbouring a pessimism towards human relationships, they become deeply drawn to each other. As they have a doctor-patient relationship, they initially tread lightly to not overstep boundaries. This work marks the transition away from the shallow plots and stupid characters for the yuri genre
