the villain was homophobia!!!! this is a really sweet story as expected and what really makes it is the honest communication between the main couple as well as their commitment to each other. THAT said! I'm still confused on: Thancred's sexuality, the relationship Greg/Izzy have with Mickey and his brothers, is Mickey also gay?, the story behind 'Honey Don', is Mark also Greg??, who's Alphie?? a friend??, What I want more of: The Chairman teasing Izzy (cuz its cute), Don's love story with Greg!!!

Cheese In The Trap Manhwa

Complete | soon kki | 2010 released

I- have little to no words. I was so moved. I couldn't predict what would happen but everything also unraveled in a very satisfying way. I can't really say there's a lesson here because it felt like such a genuine story. I felt like these events were developing naturally day by day and there were no cliches; even the way they fell or looked at each other felt only true to these specific characters. Anyways, I couldn't create the contrast between plots to find meaning, but the meanings werent lost. I thought about how one crafts their own identity and takes ownership over their life. The choices we make and the person we craft ourselves to be, come together slowly without us noticing but somehow all at once. Its from the very little moments when we choose to be ourselves (or not), or when we stand up for ourselves (or not), or when we give in to our worst (or best) traits. I guess what I'm trying to say is this story is about who you are meeting who you want to be and everything in between with a special understanding of the weight of who you were. In the process, its a story that covers what it means to choose and commit to building your love.

this was a relatively short story, but I connected a lot with the characters. Yuuchan was well developed as our maaain character and Rei's life was properly depicted and confronted especially when his father showed up. We dive deep into how his alters came to be as trauma responses. I don't think we went through all of them in the same depth but I also feel like that adds to layered reactions and needs. Like Flashy Jirou was present for like 5 panels total but most likely that's becuase he(Rei) didn't need to switch the burden off to him. While DID is very serious -I don't want to minimize that- and something that's still being understood by leading researchers, this comic allowed me to reflect on how I cope with trauma and my responses/ticks to certain situations. Nothing specific comes to mind atm, but I am aware of myself when I'm triggered and the particular self that is burdened inside me. Often it is the inner child and the emphasis on that Itzuki also reminded me of my inner child and how lonely she is/was. I need to tend to her as yuuchan did for ituki. I think as long as u approach this story, respectfully and aware of its technical shortcomings, it can be very lovely.

Lovely Again Today

Complete | Lee Hye | 2000 released

this story had really lovely parts and such a wholesome genuine romance- I do feel like the ending was rushed or convenient. The author did drop hints throughout that Hyung had some interesting relationship with Seowon but it kind of all got revealed in one swoop. The memory wasn't even gone for that long like I guess I just wanted to see more pain and struggle T.T lol but the Mountain God also wasnt the type to prolong suffering even if he was a petty little thing so I guess I get it. I also did notice that we really only had a single love interest which was honeeesssstly niceeeee. Like sure I want yuna or yool to find love buuuuut I think its most realistic that they have their own timelines -not triggered by the MCs relationship.

solid story- I love how the app was basically its own character with its own attitude LOL some of the scenes were tangy but its annoying when they add a bunch of sound effect graphics specifically on the point of storytelling, I enjoyed how the particular task that solidified their love for each other (even before they knew) was intertwined from the very beginning, middle, and at the end. like the structure was great.

satisfactory reading- I definitely related with the ML's insecurity. He was juggling a lot. He had this huge fear of rejection. He always felt inadequate. He changed his looks to meet someone else's standards. He probably didn't grow up in the most supportive home environment if his solution to everything is to run away. He also doesn't believe he deserves good things. It was set to a comedic tone, this is a reality for many people (sometimes me) who honestly tend to get in the way of their own happiness. I appreciate also that this conversation is happening with a ML- it adds a layer. I think the ending was my fave scene because it felt like the 2ML embraced all parts of his partner for the first time. He wasn't just the guy with the sexy voice or Sir Evan but himself. nice touch

Doridosim

Complete | LEE Gpiee | 2000 released

This was a great story! Its very slice of life, but what I really adored was that the ML and FL didn't let anyone else manipulate or intrude on their romance. At first your like "whoops insert the misunderstandings" or "damn this jealous person is gonna fuel someone's insecurities causing conflict" BUT THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS AND CONFLICTS NEVER CAME EVEN WHEN THOSE THINGS HAPPENED! The main characters did their best to listen to the love they had and not the whispers of others. They were as upfront as they could be, and when they were shy or avoidant they made contact in their own way or didn't let the avoidance drag on. I think this is what they mean when they say date people who LIKEEEEE YOU. Now I know we don't know what happens between Yang Yang and Hoon but even of the author only ships them as friends who support each other's weaknesses I think that's pretty great they had great chemistry. All the characters had personality- their own style and flair. It was really easy to see especially towards the end. Hoon's development was my fave mostly because whe saw he had to peel a loot of layers to be honest with himself and that journey felt v real. ANYWAYS LOVELY STORY- I don't think theres much more I could ask for but its not GOATED but I still wish I could give it 5 stars buuuuuut ratings mean things loln
