Btw, the mother of Rita, she was involved with Proud Carter (yes that's his name). He sent another man to violate her, if I understood well. The brother of her past husband (he died) surprised her and assumed she was sleeping with the servants and cheating on his brother when he was alive. Then the son of the brother suspected Rita wasn't even the daugther of the Baron Wicker. Because of all this, both of them were disowned. Btw, before she died, she went to a welfare center that is runed by Prince Van Brandt (golden hair and eyes). EDIT : Proud did that bc it was a part of the test of succession (bc the Wicker family was a bother), meanwhile his sister "just" got new merchants for her family, so he won hence why he is the head now. The only friend of Bertha/Verta is a Duke's daugther, Julia Shade (a plump lady, lilac hair, blue eyes). Her brother (same hair and eyes) is named Blaine. Thanks to Blaine, she learns that Jacard is the owner of an underground shop "The Secret Boutique of Dreams" where they trade illegal potions. Btw, Yersha was working as her butler under a new appearance (tan skin, black hair and eyes). He is a wanted man, known to be a dangerous sorcerer who killed the sultan's mistress/wife. He is the second son of the sultan Ganihi. His mother is one of the many concubines, with no power, so he had to grow up hiding he was a boy. But the sultan's wife Niger discovered it and threatened to kill him and his mom. Niger ended up killing the mom bc of jealousy (she received attention from the sultan). So he used his illegal powers to kill Niger. Anyway, Proud has a sister, this sister has a husband that had a child before marrying her. This child is Roselia (red hair and eyes), and she was engaged to Nathan (black hair and eyes with a low ponytail) who was to become the new right hand man of Proud since Jean died. So Verta planned to kick him out of his job and breaking his engagement. With Yersha and Blaine, they succeeded and in the end, Yersha took the body of Nathan and killed his original body with the real Nathan trapped inside. Btw I don't know who is the endgame. On the cover, Verta is turned toward the Prince and generally it means he is the final ML. But rn in the story, she is closer to Blaine (like they kissed, slept together and he confessed). Meanwhile, the Prince seems interested but has yet to make a real move. Anyway, I love both. EDIT : Blaine is the endgame but after the ending, there is a "what if" kind of. Instead, the prince/grand duke came back in time after dying without ever getting married. He came back the day Bertha was in the garden to gain his attention (? from what I remember, don't remember the chapter).

Not sure if he died or not, but one day after drinking a lot he realised that he is not in his body and is 3 years in the past. But like, almost in another dimension or smth. He also has a status window. So he is a blessed soul but due tu an error of some sort, he was in the wrong body. Because of that, he was supposed to die earlier but he was just to lucky and avoided it. Then he died, for real, and met a Grim Reaper who offered him a choice : either go to paradise until his time is done, or reversion aka go to the body he was supposed to have + keep his memory. He choose the second option. So it's not like he was reborn again/time travel to his birth. No no no. He just got the body back, so what happened to the soul who was inside this whole time ? They swapped bodies, and the Guide Jin told him that he probably isn't even aware of the swap ? I'm not sure I understand, like wasn't he dead?? Btw the Guide that the Grim Reaper sent is a bit sus, I wonder who he was. In his first life he tried to become an idol but it never really worked out so it's his second chance.
