K's secret
Okay….so this was pretty good. I loved the progression of events, and how absolutely hilarious their interactions were in like the first 15 chapters. I will say though, that even though I do like the the main protagonists love interest, he did rub me wrong at certain aspects in the story. Possessive in almost an,” Yeah I’m pretty uncomfortable right now.” And the,” Ummm I’m not sure that should be looked at as okay.” Also, unfortunately the aspect of sexual harassment used as a ploy to get closer to the main protagonists is present in here, just like many mangas/fanfics/webtoons/manhwa. Other than that, I liked how a much more serious note was taken later on, and the progression of the art was *chiefs kiss*. 8/10
Stalker's Game
So I read this a looong time ago, and it was pretty good at making me uncomfortable. I mean what do you expect when reading something under the physiological category. I knew what I had sighed up for. That’s to say, don’t EVER romanticize relationships of sort. It’s very dangerous. Other than that if you are old enough and wise enough to differentiate between was appropriate and not than this is for you. I didn’t know how to feel about the ending…… 9/10
Your Devotion is My Salvation
This story was short but had really good pacing. The art is really nice and both of our main protagonists are HOT af. The plot was well written as well, with the suspense and drama. I like though that it was pretty straightforward, including their feelings for one another. I didn’t have tot sit their and argue with the characters about them lying to themselves 8/10
Alien In My Closet
This one was surprisingly really good. I was caught between hoping for a generic ending and a non generic ending, but it didn’t disappoint. The story flowed well, even with the incorporation of drama, and suspense. It kept you on your toes, but wasn’t as anxiety inducing as others I’ve read. All the characters I would say are likable in their own way. Some take more time, others are right off the bat. Our main character is a little freeeaakey (if you know what I mean) and Im here for it. I also really like Lotus as well. (Doesn’t hurt that he’s fine, what can I say, international playboy) 8/10
Walk on Water
This was really well written, and I found myself unable to put it down. I love the story telling between our two main characters. Their interactions, the intimacy that the share(through glances, stares, interactions & especially during sex). This was definitely written in a way that felt authentic, kind of life going to your ideal cafe, with jazz music playing and that sultry/smooth atmosphere. When I recall many parts throughout the chapters, I think of the smell of coffee. The sex scenes on set definitely set the reader in a voyeuristics point of view. All of the characters are involved in important ways and keep the balance of the story. Our protagonists and his love interest have all experienced some things through their life, leading them to where they are and how to work past those things are pretty interesting. Overall this was well put together. I really enjoyed it. 9:10*
Tale of the Yellow Dragon
This drew me in from the first chapter. The colors, the art, and the concept was really captivating. Our protagonist is so sweet, but strong willed and sticks to his guns. His love interest is just as strong and dedicated to him and their eternal love. The ending was bitter sweet, with much left up to interpretation, but if you can rub 2 brain cells together, I’m sure you’ll come to the correct conclusion. I’m not really a big fan of manhwas that are extra long, especially the ones that are ongoing due to my excessive need to binge and know what the outcome will be, but this one was definitely worth it. Not going to lie, I shed a couple of tears at the end. I would, in truth reread this. Very well done. 9/10
Obey Me
Ummm so like the shackles that the psychological genre has on yaoi is just astounding. EVERYONE told me not to read this, and I didn’t……..for a good amount of time, but ya know what they say, curiosity killed the cat, and after that pen scene, curiosity did INDEED kill this cat….well butt if ya catch my drift. Like it’s getting sewed up and shipped out. No need for it anymore. Pooping who? I don’t know her. Anyways, I will say that although this art style will probably, hopefully not, haunt me in my dreams, I did unfortunately enjoy the thrill of the read. My mouth was agape the whole time. The author has a keen eye for fucked up situations. The plot twist was well done! I had an inkling that it could be both but it didn’t seem logical, then it just all clicked. That ending, as well is so open ended, it kind of pisses me off but it can be taken either literal or (what I like to see it as) showcasing that even though our protagonists fought through and refused to give the antagonist the pleasure of his full submission , the psychological shackles will always follow him, and therefore the antagonist did win in a way. Pretty profound. Shows the true effects of trauma especially to this degree. 9/10
Wagging the Tail Webtoon
I really enjoyed this. It was quick paced and pretty straightforward. I think they attempted to thrown in a twist and second love interest but I believe that was just brushed over pretty quickly. The art style is *Chiefs kiss*. Our protagonist is a nice human/wolf hybrid who is in college and is having just a sexual relationship with his Professor, which is weird, but in all fairness he is in college and from what I’ve seen seems consensual. In the beginning it comes off as if our protagonist is kind of forced into it, and isn’t there by his own will(also that the Professor has a history of doing such things with other students) but our protagonist is seen going back to him multiple times consensually so yeah. Anyways, our love interest is a full fox, or half. I’m not sure I think he’s fully a fox, and has such a (bitch don’t even look in my general direction) type of vibe, but also has his own trauma in his past that atleast affects him romantically & sexually. Our protagonist is obviously drawn to this person and after a couple of hurdles and obstacles, they finally officially get together and it’s so freaking cute. 8/10
