it’s very sad because the ending isn’t happy at all, althought that’s what it looks like. the main character falls so hard into depression and develops something akin to stockholm syndrome and loses himself to the thing making him miserable. this is not a happy story and the ending is good, albeit frustrating/a bad end. you think it is, but the cycle continues.
this one of those rare bl mangas that doesn’t actually romanticize incest and shows it as being disgusting and psychologically damaging.
the jealousy and possessive tag refers to the younger brother
