Even though it is a happy ending, I still feel sad. Its drama adaptation has a happier tone, but both works portray the same ending where even though it seems to be futile for the mc to fight against her fate that is destined due to being a manhwa character, she is still happy for the changes she has made and the people she has met.

Everyone in this manhwa is fucked up and spoilers ahead****** the only normal person/sweetheart (aka the 2nd male lead) get killed by the author with a truck in the side story. WTF. Why you have to do this, like he already lost his tongue (ability to speak) and his love/childhood friend (the uke) in the main story. And just when we thought the author is going to give him a good ending in the side story (to have a small cute family with a new partner and a cat like he always wanted), the author proceeds to land his new love interest in a critical state in the hospital and then kill him when he is returning home from visiting his lover in the hospital. Whyyyyyy. How can you be so cruel to the only sweetheart and normal person in the manhwa
