Bad Friend

Complete | Hkmi | 2019 released

This was an interesting read! I'm glad that in my recommendations feed I keep getting manhwas where both MLs are strong and can take care of each other and themselves. Sometimes you get absolutely bored and tired of the "sacrificing everything for you/you need my protection" trope especially in cultivation BL manhwa like you don't both practice martial arts and you'll always be stronger than the regular person/merchant,etc. Don't be pushovers hello?? I really liked the art style and yeah the story was cliche and I was bored at times were it was dragged out a bit I really liked that the MLs genuinely trusted each other and TALKED for gods sake. Half of all the manhwas out there RN the conflict would be resolved and the story would end happy if the characters spoke about their godddamn feelings/situations. The smut was very good though sometimes questionable cause no preparation+no lube then shoving it in? That quickly? I just KNOW that shit was burning but if he allowed it then he felt comfortable and good so good for him! I don't think I would re-read it just doesn't have that potential to ME personally but I don't regret staying up all night reading it lmao

Life Ain’t so Bad

Afterglow

Complete | Wagase wagimoko | 2022 released

I absolutely loved it. The art style is beautiful. While the start of the relationship was... In typical BL fashion (which I don't usually approve and stop reading after) it was refreshing how the story was smooth to digest. No nonsense villains (especially inserting a female character to demonize women like a bazillion BL artist and authors who are secretly misogynist do). No sudden tragedy or wacky out of nowhere plot twist/plot introduction. Nobody died. I like how they handled things realistically between the relationship of a civilian and a organized crime member. And I'm in a hate-love relationship with open endings but.. this one I can accept. I highly recommend reading it. Also the sex scenes are HOT. It was worth all the waiting.

Welcome to the Torano Detective Agency

I thought this had more chapters? If it does someone pls upload. I love me some beast men BL ! I love the fluff.

The Omega Takes a Husband

Complete | Kuroi yodaka | 2019 released

I keep coming back and re reading it sometimes. I LOVE the strong omega/hot head omega and the calm alpha/lead by logic not heart alpha. And it's sweet that behind the strong face the MC makes that he's always wanted to be loved and to lead and to have a family and be with his best friend and rival. And wow.. ML was truly whipped.

Don't Be Nice To Me

Complete | Ssak | 2019 released

It got tiring sometimes. It was okay to read. It just felt like.. mmh the characters were realistic at times. I like that. When characters feel REAL like real people not fictional. But also the miscommunication and some things where outrageous or boring. Just talk and use logic. Wouldn't re read tbh. The art style is good.

Shishi no Odoriko

Complete | YANASE Seno | 2021 released

I keep coming back to read this. Lovely story. Love the art style A LOT. I love animal characteristics and fantasy/supernatural. Minus one star because of THAT sex scene.

A Flower that Blooms in Shadow

10/10. Gave me depression. Cried a little reading. Would not re read because I would cry again. NEEDS TRAGEDY TAG.

The Magic Soup

Complete | Tropicalarmpit,Kim peacock | 2019 released

My review of this can be like 50 pages long. At first I felt iffy about Larmanilla. But then I realized it's just his flaws. And EVERYBODY has flaws. Him, you reading this and me. Even Romiard has his flaws. It's interesting cause Larmanilla can be cruel but Romiard can be 10 times more cruel. You could say Larmanilla is "evil' but by default. But Romiard? He will show you kindness and make your dreams come true the then destroy you. I think that would feel worse (as the recipient of his wrath). I also found it interesting how Romiard was not afraid to kill! He killed the fire magician, he killed that thief that come for the fruit and they were going to exchange items (the claw for the golden apple) but in the end he knew the other was going to die. He gave them false hope. I really enjoyed this story. Also at first I was like "DID THEY SLEEP WITH EACH OTHER OR JUST SLEEP?" cause when they started sleeping in the same bed after he killed the fire magician he once woke up without his pajamas after saying something like "he didn't just give me his powers but something else too" and I was like "SEX?!? IN THIS WHOLESOME (so far) STORY?". I guess that helped that in the future episodes I wasn't surprised by them being more active with the PDA. I actually enjoyed it how they found each other basically irresistible and couldn't keep their hands off each other. I enjoyed the character development from both. Romiard grew wise, critical and confident. Larmanilla grew more compassionate, kind and affectionate. Remember he didn't have many emotions aside from anger or boredom? Not even BEFORE he became the ice magician. People say he didn't have character development but I belief he did. He has a heart again. Hell he can even feel jealousy in a healthy way. And can feel protective of Romiard. And not in a "this is my property" type of protectiveness. It's an "this is the love of my life and I will do anything in my power to keep them safe" type of protectiveness. Overall I highly recommend this beautiful story. The art style was also very unique and although the anatomy was a bit questionable sometimes it can be overlooked because how much of an enjoyable read it was. If I had to choose only one short sentence to describe it.. it's like being a kid again reading a fairytale.
