Make Me Bark
It was okay actually, nice art and everything but the plot threw me off here and there. Came together though
Gouhou Shota Nara, Osotte mo Ii Desu Ka?
Darling for dessert
1.0, I’m not rereading this lol. No way. Out of 72 chapters, realistically around 5 or even more generously 10 ish chapters were without sex scenes. This entire manga is porn, a porn magazine with its main plot being poor-communication-based meaning if they had communicated openly and honestly from the beginning then this manga might be around 20 or so chapters total. Besides the blatantly gullible-getting-taken-advantage-of main couple, the side.. duo? Was so uncomfortable. I don’t even see what the dynamic was in having them other than adding an edge in a bad way.
Shou Sensei no Ecchi na Himitsu
2, because stories where a character who engages in sex with a persons of the same gender then goes on to date said person calls themselves “straight” is extremely primitive. Whether this story was set in the 80s, 90s, 2000s, even if the more known sexualities of the LGBTQA+ weren’t as well known, they were there within the community. Bisexuals would be called bisexuals in those years. So there’s no excuse for this, it’s just a waste to be ignorant to a degree of not wishing to learn better. In addition, I would’ve rated this more highly if there were more development on the Seme where a trusted friend outlines how his actions have gravely impacted the progression of their relationship so this may lead to a properly dissected apology. An apology that addresses the semes manipulation of the uke into sex, so dubious consent on multiple occasions occurred. Often times theses semes apologize with a proclamation of pushing their feelings onto the uke of interest. At least the art is nice. Also the side story was unnecessary, there’s no plot. Do they really love each other? We don’t know. There’s no indication of such, we were only told one loves the other a lot more then they had coitus. I’ll say it again coitus ≠ love. People’s needa learn this. Not rereading this one.
BL Motel
4.5, I like that there isn’t any downright ignorant homophobia for most of the story and that for most of the plots caused by misinformation/misunderstanding was resolved with proper communication (unlike some mangas lol) but I will say I was a bit irritated when it came to the subplot of the sunbae being in love with the younger brother in the side couple because it felt super dragged out in ~ chapters 144-150 ish. But it didn’t diminish the story, I might reread again
Dear Door
I like it but I emotionally can’t handle the plot. I can usually finish most 90+ chapter mangas in a day but this one has about 50 right now and I took 3-4 days to read it all as of rn
Run Away, Assistant Manager Ha!
4.8, Aiden really pisses me off being as miscreant as Manager Na and that other ass-hat slacker that got caught for embezzlement or wtv. Big ups for no rape (though we got very close in Aiden’s ‘biggest asshole of the chapter’ award moment) but there was still SA from the other models/offender. Granted, again I am aware that given the genre finding a manhwa that doesn’t have any SA or R*pe is damn near impossible but I’ll not lower my standards. Idc. In the end, they are sweet. Aiden mends his ways (as he fkin should) and Jowoon finds strength in himself which is why I’ll let Aiden pass despite being an orange flag. This is definitely one of those ‘he (1) fell first but he (2) fell harder’ type plots. I could reread this again.
Akuma To Keiyaku (haru)
3.4, it’s a good manhwa except that the uke gets sexually assaulted and exploited by a group of strangers only to finish the sexual assault by the Seme and then later get r@ped by the Seme. Beats me why everyone commenting would reread this again and again and again, I only have to ask if they are drawn to r@pe for a particular reason. Anywho the plot is good and the art is great, and going for an easy to manipulate gullible naive stupid uke is a classic in this genre, unfortunately these tropes aren’t my favorite. There was moments that almost made me believe the Seme may actually be a good guy deep down but then he r@ped the uke, distancing himself, ignoring the uke, only to apologize for it in the end is NOT how to make up for that so unfortunately from then on their intimacy was undermined by his actions. And the Uke seems to suffer from attachment issues not to mention I just don’t see how he completely ignores everything done to him, entirely unrealistic and lost potential to upgrade him as a character since he would start his acting career anyway. Not rereading.
