-, im concerned that the author of this manhwa as well as the author of killing stalking and actually many authors alike in this genre are free walking citizens. this particular article was propagated as a type of hazing into the genre, similar to KS, wherein if you saw this awfulness, you’re in with the rest of us who are scarred for life for simply witnessing it. I couldn’t get past the first few without wishing I could just report this story altogether. The warning isn’t enough, it needs to list specifically what will be witnessed in these chapters because the most triggering scenes last more than one chapter. In addition, there’s really no plot. An MC that gets bullied, is kidnapped by an infatuated r*pist stalker serial killer, goes through over 25+ chapters of trauma to have a halfhearted ending like that? I can’t even give a point for the art, im sorry. Just- the manhwas that are solely ridiculous comedic porn panels are better than this. Never acknowledging this one again.

Kanraku Destiny

2, the art is very much manga Bakugo and Izuku for sure. I’m not sure the plot makes sense though, it might be translation or miscommunication but im not sure that the motivation to be bitten makes any sense on izukus part, kachans POV is the only one that I can see sensibly. Wouldn’t reread.

Shou Sensei no Ecchi na Himitsu

Complete | Nonda noda | 2019 released

2, because stories where a character who engages in sex with a persons of the same gender then goes on to date said person calls themselves “straight” is extremely primitive. Whether this story was set in the 80s, 90s, 2000s, even if the more known sexualities of the LGBTQA+ weren’t as well known, they were there within the community. Bisexuals would be called bisexuals in those years. So there’s no excuse for this, it’s just a waste to be ignorant to a degree of not wishing to learn better. In addition, I would’ve rated this more highly if there were more development on the Seme where a trusted friend outlines how his actions have gravely impacted the progression of their relationship so this may lead to a properly dissected apology. An apology that addresses the semes manipulation of the uke into sex, so dubious consent on multiple occasions occurred. Often times theses semes apologize with a proclamation of pushing their feelings onto the uke of interest. At least the art is nice. Also the side story was unnecessary, there’s no plot. Do they really love each other? We don’t know. There’s no indication of such, we were only told one loves the other a lot more then they had coitus. I’ll say it again coitus ≠ love. People’s needa learn this. Not rereading this one.

4.7, this was one of the first manhwa I’ve ever read and it’s been a while so my criteria for an adequate read is higher. It’s easy to take a break from this manhwa for a long period of time as it’s quite long and has a tendency to slow down in parts but it’s great story telling. There’s backgrounds for the two main characters that indicate their individual characteristics (beliefs, thought processes, devotion, desires, etc.) as well as their interactions with one another. It hurt me for sure when the ukes mother died which added to his emotionally and mentally stunted state. This stunted development of his made it unclear as to why it was permitted into his adulthood and propagated by his now partner. This aside, I do admire the love they have for eachother and any opinions I have on their behavior I see as a necessary part of the character, nothing that needs to be improved. It adds to their personality. Despite the seme being a green flag and the adorable endearing uke having a fairly healthy happy relationship (without the common SA rope trope), the ending was not satisfactory. The story comes across as a revenge plot thus setting an understandable expectation to audiences, only to end with what feels like a very diluted end where the mother gets a minimal punishment followed by them living back on the island in a very sudden way. I could reread this again but again due to its length and partial disappointing ending, it’d probably be less likely.

Unmei nante Iranai Gekan - Haikyuu!! dj

Complete | Kazuki Rai | 2000 released

4.8, KageHina truly are cute and the dialogue (both internal and external) is more extensive than most djs and BLs but that doesn’t change the r@pe. It was very much trigger warning material, they include Hina yelling no repeatedly while in the woods with Kageyama. No matter how much Kageyama regrets it and Hinata insists that he was accepting of it, having coitus under scary pretenses is not okay. The only difference is the that the offender felt humility and shame which they all should (aka this is bare minimum). The end also felt a tad bit unfinished, they should have a few chapters of just unbridled happiness without one doubting the other or Hina getting sexually assaulted or worse. That’s why these omegaverses are so disappointing. They are cute together, and they really do love eachother which is why I wish they had it better. The art is beautiful though.

Antinomie

Complete | Hokousha-you Shingou | 2000 released

3.5, it’s not one of the worst I’ve read but I do feel as though the author may resent Bakugou. I’m not sure if there’s more to this manga that just wasn’t uploaded or if the author intended to write more but by the end of this, there’s no moments in which they’ve satisfied eachother sexually without Baku getting assaulted or worse. And of course minus the rating due to the SA Grape. Now I do like that this manga found a way to balance their relationship/love while preserving their individual personalities. Again I just wish there were even a side chapter where they could be even a smidge tender to eachother. I could reread again.

3.4, it’s a good manhwa except that the uke gets sexually assaulted and exploited by a group of strangers only to finish the sexual assault by the Seme and then later get r@ped by the Seme. Beats me why everyone commenting would reread this again and again and again, I only have to ask if they are drawn to r@pe for a particular reason. Anywho the plot is good and the art is great, and going for an easy to manipulate gullible naive stupid uke is a classic in this genre, unfortunately these tropes aren’t my favorite. There was moments that almost made me believe the Seme may actually be a good guy deep down but then he r@ped the uke, distancing himself, ignoring the uke, only to apologize for it in the end is NOT how to make up for that so unfortunately from then on their intimacy was undermined by his actions. And the Uke seems to suffer from attachment issues not to mention I just don’t see how he completely ignores everything done to him, entirely unrealistic and lost potential to upgrade him as a character since he would start his acting career anyway. Not rereading.

2.8, I would’ve left this rating at perhaps a 3.5 or so but multiple times of r@ping which is what it is even if you draw the uke “enjoying” rather than crying with a traumatized expression is unacceptable. Sorry to crush the authors dreams of enjoying r@pe i guess? It’s odd the author felt so proud about it in the end message. Both the main story and side story only have non-consensual sex going for them. And it sunk even lower when after the final r@pe scene, it was followed by the Seme r@pist in tears portraying himself as a dejected victim while admitting his love and were supposed to feel bad for him? Unlikely. All he did all this time was yapayapayapa, but he can’t acknowledge his feelings under after forcing sex on the person he supposed loves the most. Yeah, right. Not rereading.

Hang Out Crisis

Complete | Owaru | 2015 released

2.0, the storyline is two playboys who have coitus then develop feelings through a jagged way. They have coitus, feelings are misunderstood (one falls in love, the other calls him a placeholder), the one that fell in love starts to try to move on with another random character who actually treats him better, but he can’t move on from his original playboy friend, oh but they can’t make amends. No. Playboy friend who called him a placeholder has to get jealous, get caught up in feelings he hasn’t been able to acknowledge or process, and decides to r@pe him instead. The only reason this doesn’t get less than 2/5 is because the Uke gave him a mean ass punch to the jaw which I wish more characters were capable of. In the end, there’s an apology that supposed to be more significant than it is in reality because he’s a spoiled rich boy who’s apologizing for the first time in his life likely. But it’s not that significant, because overall this manga has little substance in plot and more substance as exhibitionist porn. Not rereading.

Boku no hero academia dj - Heaven and Hell

Complete | Kou | 2000 released

4.9, it’s actually really great I just think I would’ve loved something smoother for an intro into this tragedy like a scene/few panels of the last time they interacted before Baku got the call. But other than that, very deep dialogue + inner monologue, evokes strong emotions (def a tear jerker).
