I really wanted to like this & it had a lot of potential but I felt like the main couple was forced & I felt the story was rushed. i felt like the omega only accepted the step/brother b/c of his trauma of being an omega, being treated differently, how his dad betrayed him & almost sold him off, his best friend disapearing.i felt like he was so scared to be abandoned once again by the 1 person he trusted the most he easily accepted their "relationship". the beta step/brother also has his traumas. They both share this fear of abandonment. His feelings didn't feel pure or genuine, I feel like they stem from this loneliness he felt when he was being abused by his stepfather, his mom & him being abandoned. also, almost an obsession since his mom was also a beta that was abandoned by his alpha father for a omega. i was hoping with the introduction of the missing best friend of the omega, his fated pair they would see that they were both just confusing their feelings b/c of their fear of abandonment & seeing how toxic they were for each other. Going back to how the omega felt like he just accepted him out of fear of being alone, one statement that stuck with me was how he felt "uncomfortable" with the beta stepbrother. the main couple to me felt forced & rushed, i didn't like it.
