Smyrna & Capri
Okay so this was recommended on other mangas as a good ABO w/ no toxic shit and it's true. Definitely a story with a good spin on a relationship of convenience- these two are bound together with a contract and not once- was there any force/ non con sex in this. And i can't believe it's that hard to find, but the characters are good and there's soo much consent, it makes my heart happy. There's also characters being mature with how they express negative emotions, how they communicate and how Theo expresses regret and apologizes for hurting something close to Seth and how Seth approaches Theo in general with honesty. It's great to see and definitely my favourite from BWAT. Good looking art + with growing characters + healthy love
The Art of Taming A Tiger
100/10 loved it! It's shounen ai and the feelings are there. I loved the characters soo much they felt soo dear to me and the creator has done a marvelous job of fleshing them out and writing this. Well the last season did feel a little quick to wrap with some loose ends(nothing super major) but then it's understandable. What i really loved were the characters: i loved how they were true to their age, non egotistical guys who weren't the OP cold face type or snarky sassy ones who can't apologize- these two Beom Jin and Yoon were adorable. Ones 19 and other's 22 ( Western age) and I liked how they got that in their personalities and mostly how their bgs/past affect how they are today. Beom being alone, different, orphaned at a young age and figuring his life out at the tender age shows amazing emotional range as he's not afraid to voice out his pain/fears and how much this all affects him. His youth is drawn out so beautifully and he's such a good guy like i love him. Yoon too, alone, lost his brother but man does he too communicate and face and feel his sorrows. This couple communicated! Like from the start- there were no misunderstandings for timepass, no constant fights for drama which could've been avoided, their love story was pretty organic and well paced as well which surprised me since I got into this even without reading the summary. Overall definitely reread material. A GEM!
No Love Zone Webtoon
Definitely was a ride- personally liked season 1 more with a focus on plot/set up more than s2 which felt more like catering to their prime audience (the smut faction) I'm more on the shounen ai-yaoi reader who loves the build up to a pair getting together, moments of care and love and a strong emotional bond over the physical (which I don't mind) but the romance wasn't romancing much in s2 because of/ alongside overabundance of sex at every moment. Also, I liked the characters, just wished the top wasn't so forceful during their intimate time- that's has happened all the times, the bottom says no I don't want to and the top says the classic "oh but you want it". While he's more the nicer side of tops in the manhwa gang and does care about the bottom, it felt like the author trying to convince the reader that he's just a bully during sex but baby every where else and the bullying here was not to my taste which lead me to skip most of the intimate times in s2- even the way he held him sometimes like bounding him, hands clutching his neck or arms. So didn't totally dislike the story but towards the end it was a little draggy since the story really didn't go anywhere. But yes, not bad since the art was really nice and the characters were cute but wouldn't be revisiting this anytime soon
Kobayashi-senpai wa Onnanoko de Shitai
An interesting concept for gender bender- a lot of internal monologue i presume of people exploring their sexuality is expressed as a physical thing instead which I found a little smart and a fun take. The whole "is my heart also like a girl's now" "I can only do this as a girl etc" really also touched on the whole confusion you feel when you've been get for a long time and slowly exploring the queer spectrum. Also, the consent in this oneee
