Haikyuu!!

Complete | furudate haruichi | 2011 released

I'm gonna miss this ----------- ^ Is what I said after finding out the manga is complete. I don't know how to fully describe haikyuu. At first I don't think I should go all in descriptive on what I think of it, but after watching the Dumpster battle, it makes me just want to cry. I can't believe that I used a simple sentence to describe one of my youth. I first discovered Haikyuu through a television channel. At first I would skip it, solely because I was waiting for Yowamushi Pedal, not Haikyuu, but now I don't want to say goodbye to this anime. At first I only watched Haikyuu funny moments or the haikyuu on crack videos and such. Then It turned into the episode sneak peaks and memes. It didn't take a while for me to know that I was fully immersed in Haikyuu at that point. I remember being so excited when I saw the whole series on netflix around 2020 cause that meant I could finally watch every episode in full, and not just the random videos on YouTube. I wish I was with this series ever since it first started. It's cruel to randomly rethink all the times I had fun with this manga. In another life, the rarepair ships and all. Everything seemed to happen in the haikyuu fandom. Maybe growing up means you have to eventually say goodbye to the animes you used to watch when you were younger, and maybe growing up also means that I'll get to understand haikyuu more deeply. In the end of the day, it's not just about volleyball. After an intense match, it's the bond and friendships they formed along the way. As much as how emotional the ending is, it's so freaking goated. No one can top that ending. I'd forever treasure what they have become.
