Umm wow. This was a wild read. It was so dark. Honestly Clark was not a hero but he wasn't the villain. Unlike Alex he actually cared for people and not in a fucked up way. The ending though "I'm glad you're not in love with me inspector" HAD ME SHAKING TO THE CORE. Honestly, I don't want to re read it but I might have to in order to actually fully understand it. Really frustrating but really good work. Good for Clark tbh Alex deserved not to make it out alive if he wasn't able to see and repent.
