Kare no Kaikata
Short review: This was pretty bad. Can't recommend it. Long review (contains spoilers): Ch 1: Girl is a bitch who goes out with multiple guys at a time and views her bf as a pet. Guy thinks being lonely justifies him trying to rape her. Ofc she forgives him anyway. Sigh... Ch. 2: Guy is a sadistic prick who does whatever he wants to the girl without considering her feelings or listening to her protests. Girl apparently doesn't care, when it comes down to it, as long as she gets to be his gf. Ch. 3: Same couple as before. Wasn't too bad. At least their play was consensual this time. Ch. 4: High school girl x teacher. Teacher apparently thinks it's completely okay to get sexually involved with his students (as he's now done it twice) as long as he doesn't get caught. He also seems to have a sadistic streak and no problem playing with the girl's heart and body. Girl is apparently OK with all of this, she even instigates and encourages it. Sigh... Ch. 5: About a couple who has sex for the first time in a while. It was okay, but pretty bland. Ch. 6: Girl gets mad at her bf for watching porn. Then they have makeup sex, but she still doesn't want him to watch porn. Like, chill out, sis. Ch. 7: Bastard playboy does it with a lot of different girls where his crush can see them, instead of just confessing to her. Girl is just...doing nothing about the situation, not even when he pushes her to have sex with him...
Oyayubi Hime
Overall it was pretty boring. I also wasn't a fan of the art-style, especially the excessively long nails on all the girls. Full review: Ch. 1: It was alright. A common trope re-skinned, but it was cute enough. (It really peeved me, though, that a masseuse would have long fingernails...) Ch. 2: I'm already not a big fan of vampire stories, but this one was extra cringe. Ch. 3: Even if they are only stepsiblings, they still live under the same roof, as siblings, and their parents are married... It's just creepy + a super bad idea to indulge in... Ch. 4: High school student x teacher. I've never been a fan of the teacher-student romance, and this one did not change my mind. Ch. 5: I liked this one best. Probably because it was open ended, and didn't rush towards the girl falling for the guy after getting rejected by her crush, like usual. I like myself some bittersweet stories.
Love Maniac
It was okay overall. I wasn't a big fan of the first to stories, but the 3rd and 4th were pretty cute. First story: Gosh. Mc is not only selfish, she's also a lier. Miki was wasted on her. I like it when the protagonist is not the typical cute girl and the ML is not the usual alpha male. Nice to see an effeminate guy not portrayed as gay for once. Second story: God. Girl, have some more self respect! You're too good for an asshole like that. This trope of "a guy acting cold and selfish because he's just emotionally scarred" is so stupid and being reused over and over has NOT made it any better. Third story: This one was cute. Both characters were funny and they were adorbs together. Fourth story: Aw, that was sweet. I'm a sucker for the cute, innocent type of guy.
Sensei no Shiroi Uso
This was a dark story. It was quite heavy to read, yet I couldn't put it down. It portrayed the negative aspects of being a woman in a patriarchal society in a very raw and pessimistic way. Yet the story was a about healing and learning to love and trust again, and the ending was hopeful in low-key way. The characters were very well rounded. No one was obviously righteous or perfect. They all had good points and flaws. Even the most "evil" character wasn't 100% bad. He was just broken on the inside. Not that it excuses his actions; He still hurt people and no reason is good enough to justify that. But it shows that people aren't just black and white. I'm not a big fan of student-teacher romances, because that can never be an equal relationship. But I kinda liked these two, actually. I still think it would've been better if they weren't student-teacher, but they worked well together. Their relationship didn't seem unbalanced, as they both had their struggles and things they could help with and teach each other. It was a really beautiful and ugly story at the same time. I highly recommend it.
Suki Shite Sadist
I dropped this after a few chapters. It was just too cliché and cringe to continue. And reading the comments, it sounds like there will be a lot of predictable misunderstandings and unnecessary drama. Especially the part about Masaya being sick. That's just so extra.
Crossing the line
God, I'm losing braincells reading this. It's so cliché, predictable and uninteresting.
I'm Banging My Rival From A Parallel World!?
1st story: Amatatsu is hit in the head by a ball and when he comes to, the guy he hates most - his rival, Sen - and him are in the middle of doing it. Apparently he's woken up in a parallel world and here he and Sen are a couple. At first he's sceptical, but spending time with parallel Sen, opens his heart to the idea, and he falls in love. However, when he wakes up the next morning he's back in the infirmary and it all appeared to be dream... Except for the fact that Sen IS in fact in love with him in this world too, and the two get together. Short and sweet. 2nd story: Guy with a voice fetish x shy guy with a beautiful voice. He has a trauma though, about being teased about his low voice and pretty face don't match, and thus wears a mask and refuses to speak. Though, of course, the seme manages to pierce his armor and the two fell in love. It was short but very cute. My only complaint is about the ending. The trope of "you're the only one who knows the real me" is cute and all, but not very healthy. I would've liked it better if the uke had expressed a desire to slowly improve his condition, rather than give up just because the seme accepts him. 3rd story: My two favourite character designs: Always-closed-eyes-kun x Megane-kun! And they're childhood friends. Megane-kun thinks he's in love with a girl from the student council, but turns out he was actually in love with his best friend. Meanwhile, squinty-eyes-kun is trying to help his friend get with aforementioned girl, only to realise in the process that he was in love with him too. Finally the two admit their feelings for each other and... Happy end! Short and cute, even if a bit clichéd. 4th story: Story about a perverted, chubby-chaser rapist, forcing himself on scary-looking, but apparently weak-willed chubby. Nothing about this story was cute. The seme was rude, insensitive, selfish and forceful. Thank god it was so short, and didn't end with the two of them being in love (though it was implied that it might happen in the future, as per the trope). Sigh... Overall I liked the manga. All stories (except for the last one) were really cute.
