Fuyu Bara no Yuutsu
Overall an ok read. Nothing surprising or original but they weren't bad either. Full review: Ch. 1: I don't really like meek MC's that can't stand up for themselves at all. She lets the other girl walk all over her and take credit for her actions without putting up a fight. Also, the guy seemed to have no personality whatsoever. He was just the prize that went to whoever of the girls were the kindest, most "good girl". Ch. 2: In this story the author tries to make a strong female protagonist. But the way her being cool, competent and competitive is portrayed as her being "unfeminine" just reminds me how misogyny is stil prevalent in Japanese culture. At least the story doesn't have her try to change to achieve love (though she thinks about it). Ch. 3: It was alright. I'm a sucker for this kind of angst, but the misunderstanding was really obvious from the start and the guy should've been more conscious of it. Ch. 4: Cute. Though it was predictable, it was cute and sexy. Love us some good old childhood-friends-turn-lovers.
Kiss Shite Aishite Dakishimete
Overall a good read. The stories were all pretty cute. A little too bland for my tastes, but you can't really expect deep and intricate plot from a collection of one-shots ig. Full review: Ch. 1 Cute, wholesome story. However it's my personal ort peeve when people don't communicate. They could've easily solved the problem if the girl just voiced her worries and complaints. (Though that would've shortened the story, ofc.) The guy was pretty dense, but she already knew that, so she should've just been more honest imo. Ch. 2: This one was soooo cute (and sexy too!) I loved that the girl tried so hard to express herself to her bf, despite it being a big hurdle for her. And her bf was a sweetheart. Loved it. Ch. 3: Cute. A couple who actually made a long distance relationship work! The FL was so cool and they were so cute together. Ch. 4: It was cute, but weird. Not really my style, though. I just really can't get into it when the guy (or girl) is a narcissist. Ch. 5: Cop x stalking victim. They were cute and I'm a sucker for a cop ML. Though, he was sometimes drawn with this creepy expression that made me wonder if he was actually the stalker and the whole thing a set up so he could get closer to the FL... Ngl, I think that would've been more interesting.
Soshite Koyoi Wa Kimi Ni You
I actually really liked this. A kind guy and a sweet, hard working girl. We stan.
Not Love Story
First story: I liked this one. The drama was a bit cliché and the story was kinda short (but that's to be expected of a short story). Daisuke was such a sweetheart, though (and such a hunk). It was really cute! Second story: Well, that escalated quickly. It was still cute, though.
Lion
All stories were short and cute, and the FL's were all strong and unique. I like!
Hinadori wa Shiokaze ni Madoromu
A very good and furfilling story. The seme was bratty at times, but yuuichi's nursing nature was the perfect match. And Ayumu was so cute. The drama and tension had the perfect level and their conclusion was satisfying.
Motekei Ouji no Renai Command
Moegi has been tasked with taking his sister's dog to dog training despite having a fear of/hating dogs. Here he meets the socially awkward dog trainer, Kanata. Slowly the two catch feelings as they spend time together, training the dog. It was a really cute story. The uke had insecurities, but the seme inspired him to try improving himself. The seme was really sweet, charismatic and good to his uke (even if he enjoyed teasing him a bit). The dynamic between them was really cute.
Outside Flower
Masamoto has social anxiety and at age 29 he has never kissed anyone, much less dated before. He's gay and lacks confidence because of his niche interests and lack of social skills. Therefor he hesitates in front of a gay meet-up spot, where a gaudy high schooler spots him and takes an interest in the award salaryman. Later they meet again at the movies and a peculiar friendship blooms between them based on common interests and attempting to get Masato a date. Meanwhile feelings blossom... A very cute story. I loved the dynamic between them. Their relationship was based on common interests and understanding, and there was none of that "straight/gay" angst, which is otherwise a common trope in the genre.
Otoshiana ni Hamerarete
