The Duke's Teddy Bear
A new premise, yay! The illegitimate daughter of a noble family has always felt inferior to her siblings and felt guilty about her existence in her household. Especially when her siblings used to bully her for her different hair colour when they were children. Although, that came to an abrupt end when a petty fight resulted in her falling down the stairs and getting badly hurt. During this event was also when she received her new, mysterious ability to seperate her soul from her body. It happens anytime she is asleep, and each night she goes out wandering in her astral form. She has also discovered an ability to possess people, which has come in handy more than once. Now, she is a guest at the Imperial palace, when she stumbles upon the room of the emperor's nephew and a mysterious teddy bear, that she somehow becomes stuck inside of in her spectral form. Interesting premise. The translation kinda sucks, but hopefully there will come a better one further down the line. The characters are slightly nonsensical and it seems that the issue for most of them is that they are judgemental or prejudiced. So far, the resulting tension is entertaining, but I hope to see the characters get more fleshed out soon.
Blue Night, Gloss of Enchantment
I don't enjoy this kind socio-political power dynamic we see between the FL and ML. It's just old, frustrating and tiring - not sexy in the least. And cold/cynical ML's are just not my cup of tea. Even though he'll probably get either some sort of redemption arc or tragic backstory to excuse his behaviour, it's just not cute. It's just another spin on the popular vampire-immortal-super-rich ML x innocent-plain-but-special FL, that we've seen a million different iterations of. Honestly, I'm not gonna waste my time.
