It's sappy, but pretty cute. Ginger is a refreshing MC for this story. She's a bit ditzy, very optimistic, goes after her goals, even if her means are a bit silly. She's kind of a comedy-character thrown into a drama plot. But it works! The rest of the story is a bit cliché, but still a fun read bc the characters makes everything a little less predictable. The chapters following the story's climax lacks purpose imo, but maybe they were intended to be an epilogue. At least I hope the story will be ending soon, so that it ends on a high note, rather than becoming dragged-out.

It's kind of cliché and kind of cringe, but for some reason I still read it enthusiastically. It annoys me that the FL has no confidence at all and can't do anything on her own, without leaning on her husband. Yet, they communicate well with each other, respect and care for each other. There are no drawn out misunderstandings and over-the-top drama. Which is very nice. So, yeah. Not a bad story. It's good, just not great.

It has promise. I don't really like the trope about a sweet, clueless, naive, hardworking, simple girl winning the heart of the cold, perfect guy. But this story has more depth than that. Not only does the author take the time to build the characters and show their merits and flaws, they also show the slow progression of Rose/Lillian and Apple's relationship, which I really like.
