I Raised the Beast Well
Dropped for the following reasons: 1. The story is kind of boring 2. The misunderstand between the FL and ML is pointlessly drawn out, to the point of rediculousness. Cluelessness can be funny and cute, but the author has gone to far when you begin to question the character's intelligence. 3. The novel suffers a severe case of internalised misogyny, as exemplified by: - Most of the central characters being male - Female characters, aside from the MC, are either extras, that serve as plot-devices but little more, or the antagonist. - Male characters are allowed growth and redemption (as seen with the prince and the emperor), but female characters are not (like the princess). - The MC is allowed very little choice for herself. Instead the male characters have taken it upon themselves to shape her future - usually without discussing it with the MC herself. - The MC rarely gets the chance to prove or defend herself, bc a male character always appears to save her (usually the ML) - The MC is treated by the plot as a typical "not like other girls"-girl.
The Tyrant’s Guardian is an Evil Witch
I really like this story so far. The tsundere MC is hilarious and I love the relationship and interactions between the characters. I find it a bit unnecessary to have made Celeste a reincarnator, though. She acts like the queen and not at all as a "regular 20 year old Korean woman". I get that she's been a witch 10 times longer and that could've altered her personality, but then shouldn't her memories of her time in our world be less clear/important? Imo it seemed like a pointless attempt of following the isekai/reincarnated-into-a-novel trope. It clashes with the otherwise brilliant concept of the MC's personality and could've been explained in a much better way. It is a fantasy world, after all. And she's a witch. Prophetic dreams, magic crystal balls, enchanted books; It could've been explained in countless other ways that do not involve reincarnation... It still like it though, so I'll try to overlook that minor annoying detail and enjoy the story regardless.
Save Me, Princess
A Night With The Emperor
The art style is pretty, but that's about the extent of the compliments I can give this Webtoon. Unnecessary reincarnatation, an ML with mysogonistic vibes, one dimensional female side characters, boring FL, basic and predictable plot. Even the circumstances behind their engagement is stupid and unrealistic. The Emperor sent her a marriage proposal despite having just been told that she didn't want to be married. It's a proposal she can't say no to, so she'll end up having to marry him, regardless of what she wants. But she'll end up falling in love with him anyway, so the Emperor won't ever need to apologise for his forceful and inconsiderate actions. Yeah, no thanks to this one.
