Under the Oak Tree
️Wordy️ Before you decide to read my comment: Please keep in mind that this is just my opinion, there’s no need to take it to heart~ I enjoy writing and just wanted to get my feelings written out~ Long Story Short: Set during a time of aristocracy and fantasy, this webtoon is about two individuals’ personal growth and the development of their relationship. Main Characters: Maxi (FL) has suffered abuse throughout her child and adulthood by her father. Which her stutter greatly reflects her confidence and mental condition. Meanwhile, Riftan’s character (ML) is often brusque and intense. Yet, his heart obviously holds a special place just for Maxi. My analysis: Upon reading so far, their character development progresses quite slow, but that realism keeps my intrigue steadfast. Personally, the intricacy shown in Maxi’s relationships with her husband, the Dragon Knights, and those of Anatol evoke strong emotions from me. Another thing I appreciate about this story is the strong reminder that self healing and building confidence are worthy challenges that take time. I’m anxious to read the chapter that I tend to binge read from the beginning repeatedly!
Suddenly Became a Princess One Day
I Became the Tyrant's Secretary
Our FL wakes up in the body of Lady Rosalyn, a character of a novel she once read. Originally, her family is destined to perish after her brother's failure to become secretary to His Majesty. In his stead, Rosalyn applies for the secretarial position herself and proves to be efficient and useful to the tyrant king. Ultimately, saving her family from execution and shame. Along the way, the Tyrant King's heart softens and develops feelings for Rosalyn. With such changes in character, the storyline twists in a different direction. From side character to the female lead, Rosalyn will have a lot on her plate to deal with.
I'm A Stepmother, But My Daughter Is Just Too Cute!
The Monster Duchess and Contract Princess
Light & Shadow
Read if you dare~ Tis’ the ramblings of a weirdly avid story reader~ Despite how fast paced and not fully fleshed out the characters are, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. Ironically, while unsatisfying, I strangely like that the fast pace made everyone get to the point. Personally, the only minor ick for me is that the characters’ presence were so flimsy. There were many characters that I could tell were solely to progress the plot. I would have liked to see more character development. It’s the the honest truth that everyone struggles in life, no matter how trivial one might think. It doesn’t really matter whether you are a criminal or a saint now, everyone has endured some kind of challenge. Now, that is not to excuse any heinous crimes or deplorable behavior. What I’m trying to say is that it’s impossible to always act valiantly or noble. It would have been nice to see some strife in making decisions. Perhaps, instead of Eli accepting Edna right off the bat, the suspicion could have persisted for longer. It’s all fantasy, but I doubt in reality, that love just made him ignore everything.
