What's interesting here to me is the way Seme's interest for Uke was portrayed. It is love, but it's a different way of loving compared to how 'normal' people love. For Seme, it is closer to seeing Uke as part of his 'world', a possession of his that belongs amongst the other tools he requires for survival. Which is why seeing other people around Uke makes him as restless and frustrated as he is. Luckily, with a partner like Uke--who knows how to be own person while enjoying being submissive to partner--that type of love is perhaps ideal to Uke's tastes. NOT SAYING THAT PPL SHOULD SEEK THIS RELATIONSHIP OK. DON'T DO THAT. I'M JUST APPLYING THIS TO THE CONTEXT OF THE MANGA. Uke is more of a caricature than a real person, which is why these types of relationships don't work in real life. Either way, this was a fun manga to read.

But do not forget that Uke is immortal and that he will live long after Seme dies--I can imagine that, after his death, Uke will allow himself to go back to being a jellyfish and never contact another human because Seme is no longer there. Or he'll search the Earth to find a way for him to no longer be immortal. Either way, it's heartbreaking. xD

I do get why he's an asshole, because the family he comes from actually makes him look like the kindest alpha in the world by comparison (he's most likely the kindest one in that household, at least). But what's also satisfying is the way he puts Uke first by chp 5 and then is pretty muched whipped for Uke by chapter 7. So, over all, I enjoyed reading it. ^^

All in all, love the manga, their relationship does give off the vibe of Stockholm Syndrome (Seme fell for Uke way back, so no Lima) and there's definitely coercion because Uke only does this to pay off debt. But if Seme didn't respect Uke the way he did, Uke wouldn't have wanted to stay with Seme.

Two moments that made me EMOTIONAL: (1) Seme promising he would live longer so Uke would never feel the pain of losing him (2) The dream moment with the father, made doubly touching when you realize that Uke was finally able to let in the warmth because Seme was by his side.
