This is from Vol. 3 Chapter 3 titled Mokuren @ Magnolia (SUMIYOSHI Ryou). Characters of Makoto and J. from MADK (2017 - ?) (yaoi). Somehow the other character looks like Fjord, I could be wrong. In MADK, Makoto's backdoor virginity was taken by Fjord it's as if they were both reborn here in this manga. Now I'm starting to wonder if there's a love triangle between the three or will it be a threesome polyamorous relationship... I do hope it's just J and Makoto though... Anyway this story is about a human boy and a plant/tree/magnolia. Their presence comforted each other. There's a time skip where the boy grows up and he cried because soon a dam will be built near where the magnolia tree is rooted. It will definitely drown and die so the boy decides to chop it down to end its life before that could happen. Kinda sad.
