High fantasy is definitely one of my favorite genres of all time. This one's very shocking to read but all-thrilling at the same time. The art is also on point and exquisite- quite extreme and yandere. Makoto is reborn as a demon and is taken to the demon world where he lives with the Archduke of Hell, J. Although it gets so violent (dark fantasy) with the heavy gore and horror, as well as the detailed body horror imageries, it doesn't overshadow Makoto and J.'s relationship (they still possess a good dynamic relationship - I think so far, I've only seen J. become violent towards Makoto twice coming from someone who's read up to chapter 5.5 vol 1). The mangaka really knows and decisively design their characters to be in certain ways that I can just follow and hope to see more coming (developed), and I realize that Makoto truly struggled with his own inclinations and from this character's pov, it's well communicated. In fact, all of the characters can be introspective at times and I'm glad it kept the story interesting. This mangaka is definitely incredible at storytelling, character designs, and plots. I can almost forget that this is a BL yaoi series - the art style, the intricate demon world designs are detailed and it's intriguing. It's very rare to find that in yaoi series - it feels like this is something josei/seinen demographics reading material because it's not only compelling and captivating, it has some important plots that can happen even in non-yaoi genre. so that's that for now hahahaha no wonder this manga gets an official english translation - very well deserved! MADK stands for Motsu to Akuma Danshi Koukousei (Gutsy Demon and High School Boy).
