akogareta hito ha 42 sai no shoufu deshita
read up to c2, this hasn't been updated since MC: - is the kind of scum who ruins other people's marriage along with the man who cheats his own wife (he says this had happened in the past during is professional journalist days in the company) - a male prostitutes who seem to be embroiled in shady stuff like the Yakuza, information gathering (hooker undercover) and other stuff (mostly very unspeakable - why would you whore out yourself for your job anyway? This is sad) Another point I'd like to make is this story is told in the 3rd person's perspective of some other lovers' romance (as in, that 3rd person, who is the MC, is the rebound guy used in the would be couple's relationship). Not many stories are told this way so this is very refreshing to read. If I'm not mistaken, this is like my 4th or 8th time reading this kind storytelling from the MC (espouses the 3rd person POV) for the BL genre, and all of them happen to be japanese manga. Very nice, I love it. He's the MC who happens to be very mature and has some not very good moments in the past - which is quite an understatement if that character happens to be a homewrecker (this type of betrayal is next to betrayal by incest rape/abuse). --- I do love villainous characters, but I have my own limitations that hinder me from loving them fully perhaps because of my own set of values (hate rape, abuse, serial womanizers and cheaters, homewreckers, violence, and other things irl). That doesn't mean I can't handle this type of story. If this manga get picked up again, I'll reread --- I feel some type of way reading this from the MC's perspective since he's the man being used as the receiving end in this rebound relationship that the yakuza's son (in the first chapter) started. As selfish as it sounds, the yakuza's son is venting his frustration on the MC and all the MC can do is take all that frustration in and cut it off like some sociopath. Now what kind of painful romance is that? It's the deliberately being cruel and heartless even to himself. I feel like the MC is so lost and in a dark place. He says he's a pro or whatever he calls it, all I see is a broken man. ----
