Just finished reading the novel and I love everything about the story and the art. It’s just heavenly

Spoiler! I see no reason why the script writer had to make the mc lose his powers after just getting them. It would’ve been so much more happier and I’d get to sleep tonight :( There’s literally no character development either, because it’s at the end. So why? Mc would be so much happier if he could see him (Donga or something?)
