It is good to see two twin sis who get along without betrayal and negative feelings. Great refemption arc and she did a good job rejecting him for a long while before accepting his love and apologies. But she was doing too much responding back to the mistress. should’ve have treated with more contempt and dignity. I couldn’t bring myself to care much for the emperor. Good ending, it’s whatever. The sister plot is so so boring.
Overall no toe curling moments or butterflies in the stomach. It’s the first time reading abt a groveling and ML regret manga without liking the overall story.
The art was pretty bad. It got slightly better by season 2. But still sucks. Also the translation for the biggest part of it was utter sh!t. It took me out of the story. Especially the first 20 chapters. No reread
