top 3 best webtoons ever created: the pacing was perfect, the characters were so realistic and actually had personalities, and ending was one of the endings ive ever seen
1: pacing
not much to say other than everything felt planned out from the beginning. i loved the fact we only learn hart’s motives near the end; make his motive feel for of a betrayal like how jasper saw it.
2. characters
NAH LITERALLY EVERYONE HAD A PERSONALITY. THEY WERENT THERE FOR SHITS AND GIGGLE. ok kinda but.. THEY ALL HAD A ROLE AND CONTINUOUSLY HAD EXPLAINABLE REACTIONS TO THINGS JSTG EVERYTHING J READ A WEBTOON THEY ALWAYS FAIL WITH KEEP A CHATACTERS PERSONALITY AND MOTIVES UP BUT THIS?? EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE WAS UNDERSTANDABLE AND SOMETIMES RELATABLE— EVEN THE ASSHOLES
3. ending
ppl keep saying its rush but literally was NOT. the whole story ofc had romance but you have to remember: even with the supernatural asspects to it; they try to br as realistic as they can for a story about an unlucky + lucky duo. the ending was a hopeful ambiguous ending which is the most satisfying way to ending a story. i say satisfying bc of them holding hands literally metaphoring so much. the storys main is covering two opposites trying to help each other on the surface but deeper, the storys about two guys dealing with trauma and unhealthy coping mechanisms with the whole story them finding and accepting their shortcomings and trying to accept but move on from things they cannot change. back to the holding hands metaphors,, from what i got jt represents them finally moving on with the person that ‘started’ the whole them(aka both of them). it also can symbolize the curse still being there but they have each other.
ALSO HARTS LINE BEFORE THE FLASHBACK, “i want to live with you” BRO. THAYS LITERSLLY A CONFSSIONNN
(btw this doesnt mean i dont wanna see more— NEED A SIDE STORY DESPERATELY.)
Unluckily Lucky
