I agree with many other sentiments. This story is super uncomfortable. Sadly, I think reality can be even more twisted. I am glad he found some acceptance at the end, but feel bad it got to that point. What bad luck. I also want to know the other "couple" story. Seeing the twisted men next to each other was..like Woah!

How I am hoping this plays out.... the MC will find a "wife" in the assassin mage OR the MC will eventually leave to live a life with the assassin mage after killing the duke off per say.. all the while keeping her friends in the loop that will eventually come to accept the MC as herself. I am hoping they have three kids, the typical Responsible smart magic one, Wild absent minded magic one, Innocent quiet one who is secretly assassin like dad. They can all gender bend for fun like mom and dad. That's my dream.
