Hatsukoi Wa Gunjou Ni Tokeru
i'm literally bawling this was so fucking good !! ㅠㅠ kengo is the bestest boy to ever exist :(( thank you for being there for yoshioka :'> this had a melancholic vibe all throughout reading it but when it came to the end please my heart became so warm bc of how wholesome that time skip was :'(( its like everything that happened was for a reason, their relationship feels like destiny (´ω`) kengo got his shoulder injured so he had to go to his uncle's music room since he doesn't have practice anymore and then he encounters yoshioka ㅠㅠ they met when they were both broken but after spending time with each other, they slowly healed one another's pain (╥﹏╥) no one talk to me they are so precious i feel like i'll really write a long ass review for this bc of how good it was so bear with me so let's first talk abt the plot ^^ the plot was your typical boys school plot but it had more depth bc both the MCs were going through something and i just think their dynamic is quite unique since as mentioned in the story, they are coming from different worlds since yoshioka was a keep to yourseld guy while kengo was the popular and outgoing athlete~ idk what else to say but the author did a really great job at portraying their pain and really showing how both of them are healing at a nice pace !! the flow from start to finish is chef's kiss (´~`) ♡ now abt the characters, i'll first point out how nice kengo's uncle is !! i love how he didn't disclose anything abt yoshioka on his own ^^ he didn't tell kengo abt anything abt his past which is very mature and kind of him bc he respected yoshioka's privacy :)) also some comments were saying that he didn't do enough but immediately after he saw the horrible act they were doing to yoshioka, he got all the bullies expelled !! and imo that's the only thing he could do bc he was just a music teacher at this school and that's very commendable on his part >< if yall are talking abt why they weren't put to jail or something, that's bc they were still minors so of course they wouldn't be punished which is unfortunate esp now that we know after those things, yoshioka was abused once more and it was much worse :(( but kengo's uncle can't do anything abt that bc yoshioka never told anyone in the first place :< anyway moving on to kengo ^^ HELLO CAN YOU PLEASE BE REAL !!! we all need a kengo irl :(( wtf he's the kindest, most understanding, adorable, sweet, caring, etc. ML i've ever seen ㅠㅠ i love how even before he liked yoshioka, he was already treating him so well and he even bought him chocolates bc he knows yoshioka likes sweets :'D i love how he didn't pull through with that kiss with yoshioka bc he knows that it might bring back trauma and he might've been shocked abt it !! i love how he always asked consent for everything bc he knows that yoshioka is still dealing with his trauma !! i love how he offered to stay with yoshioka everytime just for him to attend class !! i love how he still went to the music room despite being allowed to go back and play baseball !! UGHHHH i still have a lot to say abt what i love abt him but let's just appreciate this man for making our precious yoshioka happy :'(( he did well in over writing yoshioka's past trauma ᕕ( ཀ ʖ̯ ཀ)ᕗ and we can see how much yoshioka opened up to him bc of how different he acts when he's alone with him >< esp on the extra story pls !!! i love how yoshioka's able to whine and express his feelings freely <33 thank u kengo !! as for yoshioka, i'm so happy for this babie ㅠㅠ i'm so happy that he's finally free from his trauma and he can be himself with kengo >< i'm glad that he's able to move forward and now he's living with the love of his life ^^ he was also the reason for kengo to heal from his emotional pain from baseball so thank u yoshioka !! i'm really sorry that you had to go through that alone but i'm glad that finally kengo's there to protect and love you for the rest of his life o(╥﹏╥)♡ about that rapist WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU ???????? rot in hell omfg i'm so mad what he said and did are so disgusting and the fact that he didn't felt ashamed or remorseful disgusts me D:< i want him to go to jail i just want to mention how glad i am that kengo punched the wall instead of that guy bc even though he did deserve the punch, kengo would've stooped in the abuser's level so i'm glad he controlled himself :)) overall THIS WAS AMAZING !!!! A MASTERPIECE I TELL YOU this deserves a higher rating bc this made me feel a lot of things it was a rollercoaster ride but i love how the couple were wholesome and adorable all throughout despite the angst and pain in the background ^^ i also loved kengo's friends pls !!! they're so funny and nice i'm glad they made yoshioma comfortable to come to class again >< i already mentioned the time skip multiple times but i just didn't expect that ㅠㅠ i literally cried just seeing them domestic even for a slight second :')) i love how different yoshioka was acting, he seemed to be more open bc he was never the type to whine even though they already had feelings for each other ^^ so seeing them act like how normal couples do is so wholesome i literally sobbed i wish we got to see more though !!!!! but i was pretty satisfied bc i got to see them living happily together and that's all that matters ㅠㅠ i also want to briefly mention that i love how the author made yoshioka say "i love you" towards the end >< it just made it more impactful and genuine bc kengo waited for that reply for a very long time ^^ it was like a sign that yoshioka has finally moved forward and put his past behind :'> i can't get enough of this i'm sorry i rambled on for too long ㅠㅠ the art style is very very pretty as well !! i love classic mangas this was a masterpiece and i'll for sure go back and cry again once i reread this definitely a "would recommend" work !!
A Shoulder to Cry On
tbh i expected a lot from this bc it did have kind of a high star rating plus it is going to have a bl korean adaptation which is why i decided to read it in the first place, but i'm sorry but i was disappointed :')) at first it was kind of confusing since the dialogues were a mix of narration and inner monologues but after i got used to it i think the plot was all over the place too :'> i felt like there were too many plot holes and there were also issues that were opened but was never properly discussed :< i agree with the author that this seems like more of a coming of age type rather than bl because the plot focused more of the characters' inner problems and past rather than their relationship itself ^^ but the thing is, i really wanted to see some character development esp from taehyun bc he did say that he'll try to like dayeol so wait for him but then it just skips to them being together already and he's still quite the same :'DD the reviews say that their relationship is healthy blah blah but in reality they don't even have proper communication bc taehyun keeps hiding his feelings and he never even replied to dayeol's i like yous :')) i also want to mention how taehyun's trauma was just taken lightly ?? like he never got medical attention or diagnosis for his mental state when we can clearly see that something's probably wrong with him esp when he harmed himself with the pot. idk if this story had the "psychological" tag but i'm putting it in bc it had that vibe the whole time and i think even up until the ending, taehyun was still quite suffering even though he slowly started to open up to his family :< i have a lot more to say but yea i'm not sure if i'm gonna watch the live action bc i was confused here and tbh it was kind of boring esp now that i know how open the ending is, i won't have anything to look forward to in the series :'(( but the author did mention they were still not good at showing the "love" part in the bl genre so i don't blame them~ and i think this was also their first time if i'm not mistaken ^^ this was just a critique for the work itself but i'm not judging the author whatsoever :)) the art style's pretty nice this was a so so read ^^
Rain Again
i love every single work of this author and this was also one of them ^^ it's been weeks since i've read this but i only got the time to make a review now bc our summer break just started anyway this was pretty good and adorable >< i love their dynamic and the visuals for this one too !!! i love jin's lips very much like omfg he looks so cute >< i love how adorable he looks but he's actually a delinquent but a kind one at that :> the plot was quite simple but i did like the touch of depth from wujin's past and how it's also kind of intertwined with jin since they were from the same school in high school ^^ i just love the whole vibe all throughout and i like how it all made sense at the end :DD they were also pretty funny and i just love the comedic atmosphere their dynamic had :)) the relationship of the two was quite fast i must admit but i mean its a 20 chapter series so for the author to squeeze in development and plot in those limited amount of pages is tough but again, they still managed to pull off this fun and adorable work <33 it was quite wholesome the whole time, there were bits of conflict here and there but overall its just the two flirting and being all cute esp our puppy top wujin >< again, the art style is amazing !! i'm obsessed with this author's art style this was a wholesome and adorable read !!
Oyasuminasai No Ato Wa
this wasn't that bad !! i expected it to be bad since the rating was quite low but i actually quite enjoyed that ^^ i think the plot should've been more polished bc i think it had a good story, it should've just been executed well bc i saw a lot of comments saying they were confused in the middle but tbh i wasn't confused though there were parts that were a bit blurry :)) like with kotaro's past, i think it needed a bit more explaning esp when it was just swept under the rug like his past traumas and with the sensei~ i think the only problem with this one was its flow and how the conflicts were kind of taken lightly, but other than that i think it was a pretty good read !! the art style didn't bother me at all, i actually liked it i think it was cute <33 overall this was good and like how they got to talk abt their past traumas esp suguru's trauma bc that was the source of their break up ^^ i'm glad that they got together and they even had a second baby ㅠㅠ i wish we got to see the baby but the extras and ending were all very wholesome and baby otsujiro was pretty cute too !! <33 it was a good read !!
Blood (yura tamaki)
its been a while since i've put down reviews but this was a masterpiece !! ik it was rocky, painful, and had annoying characters but i must stay the story was full of emotions and i just love how unique it is though it also reminded me of banana fish which is just pain :'DD kyle and sean's relationship seemed like sean used kyle as vinny's substitute ?? but i feel like he also had genuine feelings for him :')) i felt bad for kyle but not really lol bc he looked like he wasn't that much affected by sean and even straight up did it with another man after throwing a tantrum anyway the only character i love is sean though we must admit him doing it with kyle is a bit :/ idk though bc kyle just seems like a little kid but sean was kind and i felt bad esp how he was despised by the one he truly loves :(( i understand that vinny had trauma and whatnot but girl u don't need to kill and traumatize other people just bc of your trauma ???? bestie needs therapy :'> but i'm glad he accepted kyle towards the end and he even named his son after sean :)) i would also like to point out how mature and likeable sandy is ^^ she's one of those best girl characters bc she understood kyle and changed vinny ig ?? i mean i just want to give sandy some credit for not being a part of the annoying character clan :DD overall i think the plot was very interesting and quite unique ^^ i must admit it was a bit annoying and frustrating but it still deserves a higher rating !! there was also some character development so~ i think the selling point for me was the ending bc i'm glad that vinny changed for the better and i love how he still treasures sean even after knowing sean's true feelings for him :)) the art style is gorgeous !! love the classics this was a great read !!
Hitori to Hitori no 3650nichi
this was so good :'> UGH i wish it was a stand alone book bc i would've loved to see more of the main couple esp with katsumi's and their relationship's growth but i was still pretty satisfied esp at the last panel where katsumi told maki that he loves him :(( i also love how there was a tiny extra where they were talking abt how katsumi won't cry anymore bc he has maki :')) i'm the one crying ㅠㅠ omfg i'm so obsessed with them !! the plot was quite unique bc its kind of a rare set-up but the author executed it well esp with the psychological part ^^ its also pretty evident that trauma is not something that will go away in a few days, we can see that katsumi is still not fully healed but he is getting there and i'm so proud + happy for him bc they both deserve to move on from the past and start all over again (´༎ຶ ͜ʖ ༎ຶ `)♡ the second couple was okay, nothing too special since its your typical childhood friends + country boy set-up/dynamic but they were cute so it was okay ^^ (i just skimmed through it though) anyway i'm totally inlove with this story !! <33 i'm so happy for the both of them and i'll probably reread this again bc it really stirred my emotions :'> the art style is very very pretty too !! it really accentuated the psychological genre this was a great read !! it deserves a higher rating + more recognition <3
