Yoru to Futari
this was okay :> i think the plot was very light and didn't have much depth esp when it come to mitsuru and naoji's past but i did enjoy reading it ^^ though the age gap is a bit weird since he knew mitsuru since he was a child but they didn't grow up together and mitsuru was the one who kept pushing it with naoji so ig it was fine though i think it is a bit bittersweet since we'll never know if naoji manages to turn mitsuru into a vampire or if he'll die of natural causes in the future but at least we got a cute ending :'> overall it was not my cup of tea esp of how they got together but the art saved it and of course, vampires (i'm obsessed sorry) i think they were also kind of cute esp towards the end but yea there wasn't much plot and more of just mitsuru forcing naoji to have sex with him lol kshjshsjdh though the end had a bit more emotion the art style is amazing !! this was an okay read ^^
Suda-kun no Himitsu
this was kind of cute ^^ i love crossdressing and bl intertwined so i liked it :> but tbh there was too much crying and awkwardness that made me feel meh D: i think they were adorable after being official but there was still lots of crying and awkwardness involved so i was a bit :/ though the last panel where they were talking abt the simple things was so wholesome >< they looked so in love with each other~ overall i think both of them were cute ^^ am i mad at yuto for lying, uhm i wouldn't say that i'm mad since he didn't hurt aoi in any way and he even helped him gain courage and confidence in himself, but him taking advantage and making moves like kissing and touching suddenly was a bit too much for my liking :(( a peck would've been okay since he was caught up in the moment and all but for him to devour aoi i felt slightly uncomfy bc aoi was shocked by it and of course that was done without consent but aoi ended liking it so ig i'm not that mad abt it :'> anyway, i wish there was more like at least an extra bc i wanted to see more of their genuine emotion like the one in the last panel (´ω`) the conflict here was not for me lol hskshsd i don't like how the pedo guy just kept on coming back and wasn't even dealt with property :'DD he's just running around loose tbh i expected more from this since it had high rating but i mean the art style is pretty this was an okay read :>
Kono Yakuza, Toriko ni Shite Miseru~tsu!
this was not for me jskshjshd tbh i actually liked this at first because the art style's gorgeous and i'm quite into the dynamic esp with it being the yazuka and all but the plot was just :'DD it had your typical kidnapping trope, fall for me trial, and all the yakuza stuff but the thing that irked me was when chikage threatened to kill himself just to force aizawa to confess or ig love him :'> i did have a feeling that aizawa already liked him since before but i don't get the both of them like i get his reason for pushing chikage away but like bruh :')) also not chikage guilt tripping aizawa D': if it turned out that aizawa didn't actually have feelings for him then that would've been more bad :/ overall i ws disappointed in this one sjhdjsjjd i actually had hopes bc it looked quite interesting from the first few chapters but then the kidnapping and threatening thing happened which just made me feel meh but i did like some parts like they were kind of cute when they got together ^^ also as i mentioned in the beginning, the art style is amazing !! i'm obsessed >< also chikage's dad seems nice since he's really protecting him from joining the underworld and is also trying to change their ways for the better :> despite the age gap, i think aizawa seems nice too ^^ he genuinely treasures chikage and he doesn't have that predator/pedo personality so i was comfy with their dynamic~ other than that everything was plain and a bit annoying (esp the conflicts) :< it's not horrible but just not worth my time :'>
Hatsukoi no Kaeru Shima
i was excited to read this bc the cover looked soft and adorable and i was not disappointed >< the work delivered with childhood friends who are deeply in love with each other~ i didn't expect it to escalate to the the "helping each other out" scene lol but ig that is one of the common trope for childhood friends, though their feelings didn't feel rushed at all since it we can really see how close they were since they were little and they both already had feelings for each other but tacchan just realized it a bit later ^^ i love how wholesome their relationship is >< i love the whole vibe esp with the cafe near the sea and them being in an island~ i also love how nanami didn't stop tacchan from going to the main land <33 he told him he'll wait and even visit when he has free time which means he trusted tacchan :> and thats why i was kind of pissed at the conflict jsjkshsjhd its not the worst conflict but i just don't get why tacchan would feel jealous when nanami should be the one tbh bc he's the one who's left in the island while tacchan's in the main land who knows what he's doing at school right ?? i'm not saying he doesn't have the right to be jealous but its just the execution, i just felt like tacchan jumped into conclusions and stuff i would've liked it if the conflict wasn't that much, it kind of irked me when tacchan pulled nanami while he's on a call and suddenly sucked him and did those stuff i just felt like that was unnecessary :'> but the confession saved it PLEASE i'm obsessed with nanami's confession (╥﹏╥) his confession is up on my list of top confessions !! i love how he reassured tacchan and i just love how much he adores tacchan :(( he always compliments him and he's just a wholesome and soft guy (both of them tbh) :< overall i loved this one !! i also wanna mention how mature akane is ^^ she's one of those green flag third parties :)) she handled the situation maturely and she's genuinely nice so i'm also rooting for her~ the ending felt satisfying since we got to see them living together and being domestic though i would've loved to see them in the resto too hehe ^^ but i'm very pleased with the adorable ending <33 the art style is so pretty too !! this was a great and wholesome read !!
Merry Checker
i wasn't expecting this to be cute but wow its actually a pretty good one ^^ i think the plot was quite unique since i've read abt bloggers who have irl meet ups and stuff but i think the whole drinking session was a common trope but what i love abt it is that there's no dubcon/noncon situation even though miya is already in love with him :)) i love his self-control i love how they started out as friends first then shio's feelings started to grow ^^ the pacing was okay, it was not too fast but i do think the happenings when they did it was a bit fast lol JSHSHHS but i still loved their dynamic <33 i think shio's inner monologues were also a nice touch ^^ overall i liked it, i think the plot as well as shio's personality were cute and unique and i also love their friends~ there wasn't any toxic people and i also love shio's coworker >< it was pretty comedic :> the art style is pretty as well !! this was a very nice read !!
A Shoulder to Cry On
tbh i expected a lot from this bc it did have kind of a high star rating plus it is going to have a bl korean adaptation which is why i decided to read it in the first place, but i'm sorry but i was disappointed :')) at first it was kind of confusing since the dialogues were a mix of narration and inner monologues but after i got used to it i think the plot was all over the place too :'> i felt like there were too many plot holes and there were also issues that were opened but was never properly discussed :< i agree with the author that this seems like more of a coming of age type rather than bl because the plot focused more of the characters' inner problems and past rather than their relationship itself ^^ but the thing is, i really wanted to see some character development esp from taehyun bc he did say that he'll try to like dayeol so wait for him but then it just skips to them being together already and he's still quite the same :'DD the reviews say that their relationship is healthy blah blah but in reality they don't even have proper communication bc taehyun keeps hiding his feelings and he never even replied to dayeol's i like yous :')) i also want to mention how taehyun's trauma was just taken lightly ?? like he never got medical attention or diagnosis for his mental state when we can clearly see that something's probably wrong with him esp when he harmed himself with the pot. idk if this story had the "psychological" tag but i'm putting it in bc it had that vibe the whole time and i think even up until the ending, taehyun was still quite suffering even though he slowly started to open up to his family :< i have a lot more to say but yea i'm not sure if i'm gonna watch the live action bc i was confused here and tbh it was kind of boring esp now that i know how open the ending is, i won't have anything to look forward to in the series :'(( but the author did mention they were still not good at showing the "love" part in the bl genre so i don't blame them~ and i think this was also their first time if i'm not mistaken ^^ this was just a critique for the work itself but i'm not judging the author whatsoever :)) the art style's pretty nice this was a so so read ^^
Rain Again
i love every single work of this author and this was also one of them ^^ it's been weeks since i've read this but i only got the time to make a review now bc our summer break just started anyway this was pretty good and adorable >< i love their dynamic and the visuals for this one too !!! i love jin's lips very much like omfg he looks so cute >< i love how adorable he looks but he's actually a delinquent but a kind one at that :> the plot was quite simple but i did like the touch of depth from wujin's past and how it's also kind of intertwined with jin since they were from the same school in high school ^^ i just love the whole vibe all throughout and i like how it all made sense at the end :DD they were also pretty funny and i just love the comedic atmosphere their dynamic had :)) the relationship of the two was quite fast i must admit but i mean its a 20 chapter series so for the author to squeeze in development and plot in those limited amount of pages is tough but again, they still managed to pull off this fun and adorable work <33 it was quite wholesome the whole time, there were bits of conflict here and there but overall its just the two flirting and being all cute esp our puppy top wujin >< again, the art style is amazing !! i'm obsessed with this author's art style this was a wholesome and adorable read !!
Konna Koi ni Narunante
i'm really a sucker for these types of dynamic >< i love seeing polar opposite couples :'> i love them both so much pls !!! its always the short ones that are good >< the plot is you typical polar opposite coworkers but i just think the execution was so adorable and wholesome <33 even though it only had 3 chapters, i still felt the connection between the two and it didn't feel that fast ^^ i love how kido turns into a softie once he's with takamura PLEASE IM SO SAD ㅠㅠ he's so precious i cannot :')) takamura is such a sweet puppy top >< and we know he's obsessed with kido they're misunderstandings are cute too :'< i just love them !! this will probably one of those books that i'll come back to when i need some comfort bc they're just too wholesome and sweet ♡ i love all of this author's work >< the art style is very pretty as well this was a great read !!
Migite ni Miemasunoga, Ore no Kareshi de Gozaimasu
this was pretty fun and adorable ^^ this had an interesting trope bc i've never encountered a MC who got brokenhearted bc they wanted to do anal play everything that led up to their relationship was pretty unique ^^ even their set up as a tour guide x driver is unique so i liked it~ their dynamic is cute and funny ^0^ they both look drop dead gorgeous :'DD the plot was just filled with humor and it was light all throughout ^^ overall they were so cute !! their coworkers are all very supportive as well even nobu's parents >< i love how there's no judgement and discrimination present here :)) their relationship was very wholesome and i love how nobu always thinks abt shougo's past trauma with his ex so he's very cautious with his words and how he acts around him <33 he also really gave the effort to make himself worthy of shougo ㅠㅠ the art style is hella gorgeous too !! this was a fun and wholesome read !!
