Tie Me, Unravel Me, Kiss Me

Complete | MITSUKI Emi | 2013 released

➷ plot: ★★★★★ ➷ characters: ★★★★★ ➷ chemistry: ★★★★★ ➷ pacing/development: ★★★★★ ➷ art style: ★★★★★ ➷ overall: ★★★★★ ※ this is so good ㅠㅠ i never expected the plot to be deep with a slight angst~ i regret not reading this sooner >< it's been sitting in my want to read list since last year lol anyway back to the plot, its very unique since i've never encountered a tailor x yakuza pairing esp with the whole conflict as well as a love triangle !! i did have an inkling that adachi was the one that itabashi will end up with but i'm indeed happy that the author quenched our thirst for 2nd MLs ^^ adachi seemed like a strict and mean person but deep inside hes like a sweet and clumsy puppy who gets all shy around itabashi >< itabashi is such a strong character, he really loved his town and the tailor shop that he did his best in convincing his friends even though he knew that his life could've been in danger since there were mobs involved :> their pacing and development felt natural since they already knew each other since they were kids and i really saw how itabashi's feelings grew for adachi ❣️ their friend group is so cute and i love how shinagawa wasn't even shocked abt the two hehe i wish we got to see more of them in italy >< i wanted more of their couple scenes and being all domestic but i'm pretty happy with the ending esp with the adorable after stories overall this was such a good read !! a hidden gem i must say ^^ the art style is pretty too though i have one comment bc the characters seem to resemble each other which made it a little bit difficult to distinguish but other than that everything was good this was a great read !!

Tonari ni

Complete | Basso | 2019 released

➷ plot: ★★★★★ ➷ characters: ★★★★★ ➷ chemistry: ★★★★★ ➷ pacing/development: ★★★★★ ➷ art style: ★★★★★ ➷ overall: ★★★★★ ※ i literally i wanna scream right now ㅠㅠ this was so freaking good pls !!!! i've never encountered this type of writing style before, the author really centered it on hayama's pov and we saw his inner monologues for most of the story :> the plot was simple yet so unique and sophisticated ♡ it was quite straightforward in a way with how the story progressed ^^ the freaking slow burn got me on edge i love it >< we never got to see them kiss or do anything other than holding hands but why did it give me so many butterflies in my stomach ㅠㅠ i've never felt this warm in a long time :(( their relationship is so wholesome and precious i love them i have a lot to say abt them pls :'D hayama is a literal angel >< hes so nice !! like out of all the MC's i've read, he never pushed his feelings for kinoshita~ he was really genuine when he comforted him and he never even thought of anything dirty when he stayed at kinoshita's place <3 hes such a wholesome person, i'm so happy he got together with kinoshita (╥﹏╥) they deserve each other :(( as for kinoshita, i love him too !! a very mature yet sweet man ♡ hes really kind too >< they're both angels (´ω`) he never had any prejudice against hayama and he only apologized when hayama confessed bc he thought that he didn't deserve to be with him ㅠㅠ i'm so happy that his boss removed some of the work off of him and he got to spend his holidays with hayama on taiwan ( ´~`) i'm happy that the both of them will be each other's source of happiness ^^ even though the story didn't show much romantic scenes i could still feel their strong connection and feelings for each other i also love hayama's friends :(( they're so supportive and adorable too !! really glad hayama got to move out from his parents' house too ^^ his mother seems like a sweet person, but his dad..... moving on~ i love the domesticity they have >< the couple pajamas at the end pls :'> also the silent mutual pining anyway i need to sum up everything bc i think i said a lot already lol but overall this is a masterpiece fr ㅠㅠ i never expected it to be this good when i first saw it >< the pacing and development is so nice and i really got immersed into reading it~ i really felt their emotions too ❣️ idk what else to say but this is just perfect ♡ very fluffy and wholesome <3 the art style might not be for everyone but i like it !! this was such a worth it read it could be a good recommendation for bl starters ^^

Shouwaru Neko mo Koi o Suru

Ongoing | Kinoshita keiko | 2019 released

this was pretty cute ^^ i just love concepts of single dads or just guys with kids getting into a relationship pls its always so wholesome and adorable with the kids >< i was slightly of confused abt how rika lied to sakaguchi abt their child lol it took me a second to realize she was implying that shota wasn't actually sakaguchi's child but they still got married and eventually divorced~ that shows how much of a kind person sakaguchi is, even though he knew shota wasn't his, he still took care of him and even got married to rika for the sole purpose of parenting ^^ i'm glad sakaguchi finally got the chance to experience real love with michi >< i just wished we got to see more of them esp how sakaguchi's feeling grew for michi bc it was mostly on michi's pov and we know that sakaguchi is michi's first love so of course his feelinga for him have already been there for a long time, but as for sakaguchi i think it was a bit sudden (?) like not really but we didn't get to see much of how it developed so yea i needed more connection but other than that this was nice :> there were some unnecessary scenes in between that didn't feel much important but the overall plot was okay ^^ shota is so adorable pls i love how he always wants michi to be with them and he even supports his feelings for sakaguchi >< such a precious babie ♡ i wish we got to see more of them after being officially together :'< but the ending was so cute esp the extra where shota was asking abt the calendar pls it was so funny and adorable at the same time ㅠㅠ also the art style is pretty i like classic manga styles ^^ this was a good read !!

Hana Ni Kuchizuke

Complete | abe akane | 2015 released

i must admit this was a pretty cute one ^^ i usually don't like reading books that have a long series after but i got pretty hooked on them bc of how adorable and sweet they are to each other >< though i rated it 4 stars bc i didn't like the noncon at the start and i didn't like how ikkun just suddenly ripped hana's clothes at the bar and even punched him that other time idk it just didn't sit right with me, but other than that the moments after they finally got together were all wholesome and sweet so i enjoyed it <3 the plot's not my cup of tea but i'm in it for their cute dynamic ^^ i like the crossdressing part and their pairing but its just the first part that threw me off~ anyway i'm looking forward to reading the other books in this series :D this was pretty enjoyable and i also like hana's friends :> they seem pretty nice and funny ^^ i love this pair's dynamic bc they're comedic and i just love seeing 2 opposites be together with each other :)) the art style is pretty too ^^ i love their chibis this was a good read !!

Aoi haru,akaiito

Complete | Kisayuki | 2000 released

i didn't expect to find this hidden gem waaaa >< this was so good !! the vibe throughout the story was very melancholy and bittersweet i'm glad it had a good ending ^^ i agree with the reviews, this indeed reminded me of romeo and juliet~ their story isn't just about them falling inlove but finding freedom in each other's arms ㅠㅠ they both feel like they didn't have a home but they ended up finding home in each other :(( i wanna cry the plot is so good i think there could've been more improvements here and there but i mean the execution is amazing i love it <33 i wish we got to see more extras after they eloped but i was pretty satisfied at seeing them finally freed from their parents' expectations and living their life how they wanted (╥﹏╥) the development felt pretty quick but its bc mangas are always short but i still felt their deep connection with each other ^^ i didn't expect youhei to become like that, i thought he'd be a good friend but he's actually also like yuuki's father who's pressuring him to become mature and to just focus on studying :< we didn't really get closure with their parents but i'm glad that they at least had some realization towards the end :)) overall this was a very heartfelt read~ this deserves a higher rating pls !! my only wish is to see more domestic and wholesome scenes from them since their romance were filled with a slight of bitterness at the beginning which is why i'm so happy that they finally got the freedom and happiness that they deserve the art style looks old but this is actually my type so i love it this was a great and bittersweet read !!

Hatsukoi wo Shosuru Houhou

Ongoing | Unohana | 2019 released

this was actually pretty good ^^ i didn't expect much bc of the low rating but i do like this author so ik i wouldn't be disappointed and of course they came through i'm not really into this type of plots but i genuinely enjoyed the long unrequited trope and the way they developed feelings :> kazuki is such s green flag pls :(( the way he knew he'd still be hurt by what he's doing but he still stayed and let yuugo do anything he wanted ㅠㅠ tbh i think satoshi really loved yuugo, he wasn't the worst type of ex :)) he always reassured yuugo and even wanted to tell his son about them but then again as for someone who's working to put food in the table i understand why he had to keep it a secret and deny yuugo bc if risks his job its not only him that would be affected but his son too so yea i feel bad that yuugo had to go through that but i also feel the pain for satoshi :(( but i'm glad that they had a good closure and both apologized to each other which is so mature of them <33 i'm also happy that kazuki's unrequited love of 8 years has finally been reciprocated ^^ overall this was a pretty good one !! i really liked kazuki's dialogues ig bc i can somewhat relate to him anyway yea i enjoyed this :> i wish we got to see more of them after being official but i'm satisfied bc they were already being domestic since the beginning hehe ^^ the art style is pretty i love this author's art style :D this was a good read !!

Sabita Yoru Demo Koi Wa Sasayaku

Complete | ogeretsu tanaka | 2014 released

this was really good ^^ i'm really into reencounters esp like this one !! i've read multiple works with similar plots and ig i do enjoy this type of set-up esp the dynamic between the MCs <33 the other ones i've read wasn't as graphic as this one so i really felt bad for yumi bc his abuse was so so painful and graphic :(( the plot and the vibe had a melancholic feel throughout but after they got together, it became warm and wholesome i was actually shocked when kan decided to let go of yumi bc typically abusers would gatekeep their victims, that's why i'm glad that yumi got to finally be free and be with the one that he truly loves ㅠㅠ i love mayama pls he's so adorable <33 he's shy, quiet, and ig a bit different from others (with his likes and hobbies) but he becomes really forward and protective when it came to yumi also he's such an Innocent puppy i really love their at home scenes esp the bed scenes bc mayama is so cute >< i'm also really happy that they also decided to live together waaaa (´ω`) i wish we got to see more of their dating and domestic scenes but i'm really happy and satisfied with the extras and ending ❣️ this was such a nice read !! i also liked the art style, its pretty i'll also read the other author's books bc this was a masterpiece !!

Apron Yankee!

Complete | KATAGIRI Lyla | 2017 released

this was okay ig ?? i think they were cute but i just didn't feel that much connection with their love bc it just all happened suddenly~ also there was dubcon but it wasn't that bad i think aniki's a nice person but yea ig this just wasn't for me :> but i did think the kids were really cute and the couple's dynamic was pretty comedic and adorable too ^^ the plot had potential if it had a slower pace and it had some more emotional or deep scenes but yea it was still okay and cute to read so :)) the art style is really pretty though !! this was an okay read ^^

Boulange no Koibito

Complete | TENZEN Momoko | 2000 released

this is so good !! i wanna cry this is just filled with wholesome and adorable scenes >< i really love the first couple's relationship <33 it felt so natural and i love how they slowly were growing feelings and was actually mutually pining for each other~ i love how steady and mature they are ^^ also the bi representation of asao HELLO !! its not that often to see bi characters in bl so i feel represented i love how there aren't any misunderstandings and they really have good communication !! ^^ i love how supportive asao's colleagues and friends~ as well as fujikawa's mom and his editor >< i really love their inner monologues whenever they adore/admire their partner :'> and i'm obsessed abt the last panels where they exchanged lines abt asao being the work of his lifetime ㅠㅠ i literally felt butterflies bc that screams marriage and proposal ᕕ( ཀ ʖ̯ ཀ)ᕗ i just love how they always exchange words of affirmation and how invested they are in each other~ like how supportive fujikawa is with asao's baking career and how supportive asao is with fujikawa's writing career ^^ idk what else to say bc i just love this couple >< they are the standard !! the second short story is also pretty cute ^^ i love how they started out as friends and suddenly got closer to each other in a funny encounter i also love how they stopped before any dubcon happened and properly confessed and became lovers~ overall i really love this !! this deserves a higher rating bc of how fluffy and mature the relationships are >< both relationships were healthy and wholesome !! <33 the plot is your typical sleep deprived author and all but i think how their relationship developed and how healthy + wholesome they are, is what does it for me ^^ i love the extras and i love how open-minded fujikawa's mom is lol she's a queen ngl i kind of want a volume 2 for their out of the country travels >< but other than that i'm pretty satisfied with the ending <33 the art style is very pretty as well !! i've read a lot of this author's books and i must say a lot of them are bangers !! ❣️ this one is another masterpiece~ i had a fluffy and wholesome time reading this !!
