Nikushoku no Buka
➷ plot: ★★★★☆ ➷ characters: ★★★★★ ➷ chemistry: ★★★★☆ ➷ pacing/development: ★★★★★ ➷ art style: ★★★★★ ➷ overall: ★★★★★ ※ this was pretty cute ^^ i didn't expect it to be fluffy and adorable >< the flow was just calm, i didn't feel any annoyance at the little conflicts though i did feel multiple secondhand embarrassments for tokita lol i just feel like he was suddenly being so desperate but ig it worked out at the end~ the plot was pretty simple though i did find their set-up quite unique with kayama being a closeted gay who keeps being arranged in a matchmaking system and an outgoing frivolous puppy tokita :D i like their dynamic ^^ i think i just wanted a bit more from the plot bc it was a little bit bland but i did feel their connection i just felt like it was a bit too fast for me :)) the 2nd story (oneshot) was okay, for a oneshot it was pretty interesting too so i enjoyed it ^^ the extras are adorable too <3 tokita is such a handful puppy but i just love their tandem >< esp with kayama's taste for fashion pls its so funny they're pretty cute together, i just wish there were more scenes with them being domestic and stuff (i mean there were i just wished there was more~) ❣️ overall this was pretty fun :> i totally think this deserves a higher rating !! this author's works are always filled with humour with couple dynamics that i love ^^ there wasn't any unnecessary drama and they were mostly fluffy, funny, and adorable ♡ the ending was wholesome >< i just wished we got to see more dialogues/conversation after they hugged but i mean i think that scene cleared up all the doubts in tokita's head <3 the art style is gorgeous i love clean, sharp, and mature looking men ( ´~`) this was a good read !!
Sono Kao Mitara, Gaman wa Dekinai
the last panel pls i will cry that was so adorable ☹️ i really liked the first couple aaa they were so cute the art style is gorgeous i wanted to see more of their relationship but the extra ones were adorable a good read <33
Koi to Keiji
➷ plot: ★★★★☆ ➷ characters: ★★★★★ ➷ chemistry: ★★★★★ ➷ pacing/development: ★★★★☆ ➷ art style: ★★★★★ ➷ overall: ★★★★★ ※ the plot was all over the place but omfg this was such a fun read i really enjoyed it even though i was so confused bc one thing just led to another and suddenly they were inlove and tsuchida didn't even know that haruki was his boss like idk how that happened but the confusion aside, this was so fun and adorable to read <33 i really love their dynamic~ the way haruki's a strict boss but becomes soft and needy when hes with tsuchida >< i love tsuchida's puppy-like personality too ♡ hes literally a ball of fluff yet hes very passionate and serious abt his job i love the contrasts between them, it makes them complete each other <33 their relationship has two moods and thats domesticity and chaos i just love it when the two of them are together and being all cute and rowdy >< as for the 2nd couple in the oneshot, i also liked them pls this author's humor is my style so i really liked both stories <3 their (2nd couple) dynamic was so cute too ^^ also the plot twist at the end pls i wheezed so hard i didn't expect it to end like that that was so funny even though this had a lot of comedic scenes, there were still a lot of romantic and serious themes running throughout which i love i could see the feelings of both couples under all the laughter ^^ overall i really enjoyed this one ♡ putting it in the hidden gem tag bc i didn't expect it to be so funny and wholesome <3 i love this author's works bc they always insert their humor in the plot >< i also their couple dynamics, my cup of tea their art style is also one of my faves so pretty and clean even though its old, its a classic this was a great and funny read !!
Bi no Isu
okay so i don't really like reading books with multiple stories but the first part of this book had a continuation which i'm looking forward to although their relationship here didn't seem quite appealing bc it was kind of all over the place but i have hope for the sequels bc it had good ratings and the final panel and extras for the main couple were kind of cute so i'm giving them a chance ^^ for the second couple, this is the reason i rated is 3 stars bc wtf was that hdkshdjd ML is literally a red flag and the way he's aware and telling the MC he "trained" him for that pls that's so disgusting and traumatizing for the MC :< i just felt bad for him the whole time so 2nd couple is a no but the third couple balanced everything bc they were just fluffy all over >< i wish they had a longer story and the 2nd couple was just removed but yea i was pretty satisfied with couple #3 bc they had the healthiest build up and relationship out of all the couples present in this book <33 overall this was an average read, very mid bc the plot for the first couple was quite confusing and their relationship had visible red flags but they ended in a cute way (kind of), then 2nd couple instant drop bc everything was just a no, and lastly the 3rd couple bringing wholesome and sweetness to the table ^^ the art style's gorgeous too i really love this author's art style !! i've also read a bunch of their works so i'm looking forward to the sequels though i'm kind of expecting some angst there~ this was an okay read :>
Oka no Ue no Rakuen
this was so adorable >< i love reading abt mutual pining ^^ it wasn't the type where you'll get frustrated bc i can see how their feelings grew even more throughout the whole thing so i enjoyed it <33 ono is such a cute puppy >< he's tall, popular, and athletic but he's also shy and clumsy which is so cute ^^ i love how he never pushed his feelings for kijima but he was also trying to get closer to him~ kijima is the stern and cold type but he also gets shy and adorable when he's with ono >< i just love their dynamic i wanted to see more of their dating life but i was still happy with the ending bc i got bits of spice and sweetness as for the other story (which is a oneshot) i think it was also good, at least both of them had some closure ?? the comments are saying that it was motomi's fault for running away but i mean maybe he had some reasons idrk since it wasn't really specified but i think the whole story (first & second) were both written beautifully ^^ the art style is immaculate !! i'm so obsessed with it this was a wholesome and bittersweet read !!
Mizu No Haru
this was pretty good ^^ i didn't expect much bc it had low ratings but the plot was actually quite unique in some way~ i love the fact that the author also told the parents' story <33 both relationships are so pure and warm ^^ the vibe of the plot was calm all throughout like it just had this calm atmosphere idk but it was also quite fast (first couple), but i think its bc there were only 3 chapters for them so the development wasn't showed that much but i still enjoyed reading ^^ the plot for the parents is your typical editor x writer boss but it was unique since the writer was a widower so that came to play for a bit of angst but you can clearly see how much he loves motoi so >< overall this was pretty good and i think it deserves a higher rating bc it had a nice plot esp with the cute time skip for the first couple ^^ i love how sumi treasure's his parents' relationship and he wanted to protect them which is why he always kept it a secret bc he didn't want his classmates to say hurtful things to them :D i wish we got to see more of their domestic life but i'm pretty happy with their cute extras ^^ as well as sumi's dads' extra scenes >< the art style is pretty !! this was a good read !!
Boulange no Koibito
this is so good !! i wanna cry this is just filled with wholesome and adorable scenes >< i really love the first couple's relationship <33 it felt so natural and i love how they slowly were growing feelings and was actually mutually pining for each other~ i love how steady and mature they are ^^ also the bi representation of asao HELLO !! its not that often to see bi characters in bl so i feel represented i love how there aren't any misunderstandings and they really have good communication !! ^^ i love how supportive asao's colleagues and friends~ as well as fujikawa's mom and his editor >< i really love their inner monologues whenever they adore/admire their partner :'> and i'm obsessed abt the last panels where they exchanged lines abt asao being the work of his lifetime ㅠㅠ i literally felt butterflies bc that screams marriage and proposal ᕕ( ཀ ʖ̯ ཀ)ᕗ i just love how they always exchange words of affirmation and how invested they are in each other~ like how supportive fujikawa is with asao's baking career and how supportive asao is with fujikawa's writing career ^^ idk what else to say bc i just love this couple >< they are the standard !! the second short story is also pretty cute ^^ i love how they started out as friends and suddenly got closer to each other in a funny encounter i also love how they stopped before any dubcon happened and properly confessed and became lovers~ overall i really love this !! this deserves a higher rating bc of how fluffy and mature the relationships are >< both relationships were healthy and wholesome !! <33 the plot is your typical sleep deprived author and all but i think how their relationship developed and how healthy + wholesome they are, is what does it for me ^^ i love the extras and i love how open-minded fujikawa's mom is lol she's a queen ngl i kind of want a volume 2 for their out of the country travels >< but other than that i'm pretty satisfied with the ending <33 the art style is very pretty as well !! i've read a lot of this author's books and i must say a lot of them are bangers !! ❣️ this one is another masterpiece~ i had a fluffy and wholesome time reading this !!
Cello Mellow
all the stories were actually pretty cute though some of it were open ended~ i wanted to see more of all the couples since i think all of it were oneshots but i must say all of them were actually pretty good and wholesome <33 i'm just really not into multiple stories since i like focusing on one plot while reading but all of the stories included here had similar set-ups and dynamic which is why it was good ^^ there wasn't much drama at all and more of the developing relationships between high school students~ i think even though they were all oneshots, every single one had their own meaning and vibe :)) every story was quite poetic and i also like the flow of it ^^ the art style is pretty !! this was a good read !!
Kuro X Koi
this was good ^^ i think the story itself wasn't that bad though i think the plot and the flow needs a bit more polishing but i think it was pretty good~ the story between ao and kurose ws quite unique but predictable :> i haven't read much stories abt twins so this was quite refreshing >< i also like how each couple had their own story and we got to see how they are interconnected with each other :DD midori and shirose's story was cute as well but i think i didn't feel much of their feelings since it was quite rushed~ their relationship was a bit too fast but i mean both couples are happy and they stayed together up until aki was already in high school which meant the relationship's going strong <33 i also liked how the author included aki and akane's story bc we also got to see how ao and midori were doing after the kids grew up >< their relationship was your typical mutual pining but still adorable :> overall this was pretty good and i enjoyed it~ all the couples had a cute relationship and there wasn't much conflict :)) i wish we got to see more domesticity esp more scenes of ao + kurose, and midori + shirose taking care of aki together hehe but i was pretty satisfied so it was a good read !! the art style's pretty too !!
