Mizu No Haru
this was pretty good ^^ i didn't expect much bc it had low ratings but the plot was actually quite unique in some way~ i love the fact that the author also told the parents' story <33 both relationships are so pure and warm ^^ the vibe of the plot was calm all throughout like it just had this calm atmosphere idk but it was also quite fast (first couple), but i think its bc there were only 3 chapters for them so the development wasn't showed that much but i still enjoyed reading ^^ the plot for the parents is your typical editor x writer boss but it was unique since the writer was a widower so that came to play for a bit of angst but you can clearly see how much he loves motoi so >< overall this was pretty good and i think it deserves a higher rating bc it had a nice plot esp with the cute time skip for the first couple ^^ i love how sumi treasure's his parents' relationship and he wanted to protect them which is why he always kept it a secret bc he didn't want his classmates to say hurtful things to them :D i wish we got to see more of their domestic life but i'm pretty happy with their cute extras ^^ as well as sumi's dads' extra scenes >< the art style is pretty !! this was a good read !!
The Lovesick Flower Buds Waiting for Spring
this was pretty cute ^^ i think all the chapters after ryosuke confessed was so adorable and wholesome bc you can really see his character development !! i love how after he did what he did, he realized he was wrong and that he needed to change himself for the better >< the first few chapters were quite meh bc i didn't like how ryosuke acted and did those things to ayumu it's not like he reay r worded him or something, but still he kind of attempted to assault him so i was like :/ and ik he still wasn't fully aware of his feelings but i just didn't like how he couldn't explain to ayumu why he did that :'> but anyway everything after they sorted their feelings ended up being wholesome esp when even though ryosuke would ask them to do it, he still respected ayumu which is a big character development ^^ i also love hikaru bc he's such a supportive and protective brother >< i'm glad that he never opposed to them but at the same time he was also quite protective when he saw what happened between the two ^^ as for ayumu, he's just so precious :(( i love him so much >< his personality is so adorable :'> he's such a kind and gentle person, very caring and intelligent ^^ i also love how mature he talks and how he always has a smile on his face ㅠㅠ overall this was good ^^ i wish we got to see a sequel with them living together bc that snippet on the author's note made me feel things >< the pacing was pretty good and the development was also okay ^^ the plot was a bit unique too since i've never read this type of plot before~ the art style is pretty too !! this was a good read !!
Boulange no Koibito
this is so good !! i wanna cry this is just filled with wholesome and adorable scenes >< i really love the first couple's relationship <33 it felt so natural and i love how they slowly were growing feelings and was actually mutually pining for each other~ i love how steady and mature they are ^^ also the bi representation of asao HELLO !! its not that often to see bi characters in bl so i feel represented i love how there aren't any misunderstandings and they really have good communication !! ^^ i love how supportive asao's colleagues and friends~ as well as fujikawa's mom and his editor >< i really love their inner monologues whenever they adore/admire their partner :'> and i'm obsessed abt the last panels where they exchanged lines abt asao being the work of his lifetime ㅠㅠ i literally felt butterflies bc that screams marriage and proposal ᕕ( ཀ ʖ̯ ཀ)ᕗ i just love how they always exchange words of affirmation and how invested they are in each other~ like how supportive fujikawa is with asao's baking career and how supportive asao is with fujikawa's writing career ^^ idk what else to say bc i just love this couple >< they are the standard !! the second short story is also pretty cute ^^ i love how they started out as friends and suddenly got closer to each other in a funny encounter i also love how they stopped before any dubcon happened and properly confessed and became lovers~ overall i really love this !! this deserves a higher rating bc of how fluffy and mature the relationships are >< both relationships were healthy and wholesome !! <33 the plot is your typical sleep deprived author and all but i think how their relationship developed and how healthy + wholesome they are, is what does it for me ^^ i love the extras and i love how open-minded fujikawa's mom is lol she's a queen ngl i kind of want a volume 2 for their out of the country travels >< but other than that i'm pretty satisfied with the ending <33 the art style is very pretty as well !! i've read a lot of this author's books and i must say a lot of them are bangers !! ❣️ this one is another masterpiece~ i had a fluffy and wholesome time reading this !!
Dekoboko Sugar Days
this was so adorable ^^ i love the height difference as well as their dynamic >< i love how they were mutually pining for each other the whole time and i'm glad that when they realized their feelings, rui immediately went after yuu i love their wholesome friendship and how yuu would act slightly cold and serious but he has this soft spot for rui >< like when he reminds him not to be touchy with other friends but then rui says that he's only like that to yuu PLEASE yuu blushing over that is so adorable >< and whenever rui just breathes and exists, yuu just full on breakdowns over how cute his lover is they're so cute pls !!! i also love how supportive their friends are ^^ there weren't that much conflict and most of it were just them being all fluffy and sweet ^^ i love how nice the pacing is bc we really saw how much their feelings grew for each other and everything just felt natural like a real high school love story~ overall i love these two >< i love how awkward and wholesome they are~ i'm excited bc there's a volume 2 so i'm hoping to see a more matured and domestic relationship :> the art style is so adorable and gorgeous !! this was a cute and great read !!
Koi No Senryaku Management
its always the oneshots that are good ^^ i really liked this one :> very simple yet so adorable and wholesome <33 i love how hoshino didn't have any prejudice and was also quite careful with his words when he was talking abt the rumors~ i love how they gradually got close to each other which made me feel his feelings for osaki ^^ i love how supportive osaki's friend is as well pls they are so adorable esp when he asked hoshino how it went at the end overall this was pretty cute and wholesome <33 the art style is very pretty too !! this was a nice read !!
Aiou Futari
this was a unique one :> i've never encountered this type of plot~ i didn't know what to expect with the whole sugar mommy thing but omg that was so heartwarming :')) kazu's mom really took her time to research and to ask experience from other gay ppl just so that she can relate and be able to treat her son the right way >< i really love the relationship they built after opening up and telling kazu the truth about the sugar mommy thing ^^ i love how through that experience, kazu got to find keigo wherein they basically saved and fell for each other <33 keigo was the thread that pulled kazu and his mom closer, while kazu was the one who took keigo in after being abandoned by his family :(( i'm really happy that they got together and are there for each other (╥﹏╥) overall this was a really wholesome and unique piece~ i didn't expect it to have such good plot, as well as the pacing ^^ i wish we got to see more of them esp when they went to introduce themselves as a couple to kazu's mom, but i'm pretty satisfied with seeing all of them happy ^^ also the art style is very pretty !! this was a wholesome read !!
Hatsukoi no Kaeru Shima
i was excited to read this bc the cover looked soft and adorable and i was not disappointed >< the work delivered with childhood friends who are deeply in love with each other~ i didn't expect it to escalate to the the "helping each other out" scene lol but ig that is one of the common trope for childhood friends, though their feelings didn't feel rushed at all since it we can really see how close they were since they were little and they both already had feelings for each other but tacchan just realized it a bit later ^^ i love how wholesome their relationship is >< i love the whole vibe esp with the cafe near the sea and them being in an island~ i also love how nanami didn't stop tacchan from going to the main land <33 he told him he'll wait and even visit when he has free time which means he trusted tacchan :> and thats why i was kind of pissed at the conflict jsjkshsjhd its not the worst conflict but i just don't get why tacchan would feel jealous when nanami should be the one tbh bc he's the one who's left in the island while tacchan's in the main land who knows what he's doing at school right ?? i'm not saying he doesn't have the right to be jealous but its just the execution, i just felt like tacchan jumped into conclusions and stuff i would've liked it if the conflict wasn't that much, it kind of irked me when tacchan pulled nanami while he's on a call and suddenly sucked him and did those stuff i just felt like that was unnecessary :'> but the confession saved it PLEASE i'm obsessed with nanami's confession (╥﹏╥) his confession is up on my list of top confessions !! i love how he reassured tacchan and i just love how much he adores tacchan :(( he always compliments him and he's just a wholesome and soft guy (both of them tbh) :< overall i loved this one !! i also wanna mention how mature akane is ^^ she's one of those green flag third parties :)) she handled the situation maturely and she's genuinely nice so i'm also rooting for her~ the ending felt satisfying since we got to see them living together and being domestic though i would've loved to see them in the resto too hehe ^^ but i'm very pleased with the adorable ending <33 the art style is so pretty too !! this was a great and wholesome read !!
Merry Checker
i wasn't expecting this to be cute but wow its actually a pretty good one ^^ i think the plot was quite unique since i've read abt bloggers who have irl meet ups and stuff but i think the whole drinking session was a common trope but what i love abt it is that there's no dubcon/noncon situation even though miya is already in love with him :)) i love his self-control i love how they started out as friends first then shio's feelings started to grow ^^ the pacing was okay, it was not too fast but i do think the happenings when they did it was a bit fast lol JSHSHHS but i still loved their dynamic <33 i think shio's inner monologues were also a nice touch ^^ overall i liked it, i think the plot as well as shio's personality were cute and unique and i also love their friends~ there wasn't any toxic people and i also love shio's coworker >< it was pretty comedic :> the art style is pretty as well !! this was a very nice read !!
A Shoulder to Cry On
tbh i expected a lot from this bc it did have kind of a high star rating plus it is going to have a bl korean adaptation which is why i decided to read it in the first place, but i'm sorry but i was disappointed :')) at first it was kind of confusing since the dialogues were a mix of narration and inner monologues but after i got used to it i think the plot was all over the place too :'> i felt like there were too many plot holes and there were also issues that were opened but was never properly discussed :< i agree with the author that this seems like more of a coming of age type rather than bl because the plot focused more of the characters' inner problems and past rather than their relationship itself ^^ but the thing is, i really wanted to see some character development esp from taehyun bc he did say that he'll try to like dayeol so wait for him but then it just skips to them being together already and he's still quite the same :'DD the reviews say that their relationship is healthy blah blah but in reality they don't even have proper communication bc taehyun keeps hiding his feelings and he never even replied to dayeol's i like yous :')) i also want to mention how taehyun's trauma was just taken lightly ?? like he never got medical attention or diagnosis for his mental state when we can clearly see that something's probably wrong with him esp when he harmed himself with the pot. idk if this story had the "psychological" tag but i'm putting it in bc it had that vibe the whole time and i think even up until the ending, taehyun was still quite suffering even though he slowly started to open up to his family :< i have a lot more to say but yea i'm not sure if i'm gonna watch the live action bc i was confused here and tbh it was kind of boring esp now that i know how open the ending is, i won't have anything to look forward to in the series :'(( but the author did mention they were still not good at showing the "love" part in the bl genre so i don't blame them~ and i think this was also their first time if i'm not mistaken ^^ this was just a critique for the work itself but i'm not judging the author whatsoever :)) the art style's pretty nice this was a so so read ^^
