Ok tbh kind of hated the art style. So basically there’s this PE teacher who peaked as a kid and never recovered from that. So as a teacher he receives bribes from his student in exchange for things and this one supervisor finds out his secret. That supervisor is incredibly manipulative and basically caused his downfall which results in the last few chapters where the PE teacher’s life is crumbling. I like the ending for sure I can imagine how relieveing it is to basically escape your shitty family, feeling, and just become a fugitive living in utter sexual bliss.
Dine With a Vampire
Ok tbh I didn’t really like it up until the last 40 or so chapters. So basically this one dude is abused sexually, physically, and sexually by his old middle school crush. His old crush is such a good bad person like he is irredeemable and dies in the end so happy that the rapist didn’t get a happy ending. So basically this vampire smells the abused dudes blood and stalks him and kills the old crush and the abused dude and the vampire have a relationship. Really smut and sex for a few chapter after that which is eh. But where it really gets good is the twist where the abuser actually turned into a vampire and is plotting against the vampire with someone else. I actually really like the villains not cause they sympathetic but like they actually are good bad people. They both die actually and the ending actually was good and I totally liked the role reversal between the vampire and human. And I like how the epilogue sealed with the looming threat because I was still thinking about how the hell he gonna deal with all the people that want revenge on him. I still don’t get that pact he did to gain magic tho but overall doesn’t really get good until ending and the early stuff is eh. But overall interesting concept I love vampires but could have been done better.
Tell Me You Can Hear It
Really cliché but eh it’s cute and stuff it’s got a steady romance plot building up that doesn’t really feel forced except maybe the part about that one dude hating the fuck out of one of them. Cliché plot but honestly not bad it’s better than I expected and follows them past the high school part of their lives and they date while they’re still in college. It’s cute and mature towards the extra parts but honestly would read again. Plot is basically this one dude loves handsome men and said handsome man can read minds and the mindreader reads that he has a crush on him and gets closer to him. He later realizes he likes him and they get together.
Love Stage!!
Been wanting to finish this series for a WHILE. Ever since I rewatched the anime idk how long ago I’ve been wanting to see how it ended. Not disappointed tbh, not my fav story but it’s only 38 chapters or so and I do like it past the anime adaptation. This is the one series where I might actually prefer the manga but it’s so cute when they get together ngl. Yes the plot points are a bit dumb but it makes up for it. I do like the relationship and I like how it everything just comes up good for everyone. Did not expect Rei and Shougo to ever get married but that’s so cute. Honestly I would completely skip past the chapters the anime covered and only read the rest because I feel like the anime was a bit too slow for my taste. But reading though it was a breeze. Honestly really do like this series and it’s dumb little plot points but it’s cute and a good romcom for when I feel down.
Black Mirror
Story is about 2 dudes who are separated and reunited after years of being apart. One of them jumps for joy and shit while since the other blocked off his childhood doesn’t remember him but is ig attracted to him. Either way he moves in with him cause he needs a place to stay and since he barely knows him not a good idea. But once he’s there he starts getting some of his childhood memories back in bits and pieces. The other dude won’t tell him, but it’s a sinister kind of force that brought them together as kids and in present day. Ok so basically ngl shit kinda gay like I thought oh wtf I love this, it’s a mystery not so much a fun of the supernatural aspect cause well… I would prefer it be in the real world but either way enjoyed. Story is good but honestly the thing that pisses me off is that when mc was telling his story to the police and the other dude didn’t ig back it up is what’s like :/. Like how are YOU mad he doesn’t remember u but were part of the reason why he looked crazy. And then moved only for him to repress his memories because of what he saw. Would also like to know how they evaded police in the future. Ik they probably will cause I mean they have power to blow up people with mind but still. Also that means there are more people like them and why not have an episode or continuation where they meet others like them and such
Mellow Pillow
About a man whose sacred pillow got lost and that being the only one he could sleep with, develops insomnia. Also his neighbor has crazy loud sex so that doesn’t help. Him and his neighbor meet by chance at a party and while asleep the insomniac lays his head on that dudes ass and it reminds him of his pillow and it able to sleep. Oneshot and would have been funny if expanded on further but pretty good. Only gripe is it’s too short but that also makes it better so no misunderstanding.
Old-fashioned Cupcake
SLAYY thank god I saw tht one comment on TikTok this shit eats also it’s a SHOW. which ok great but idk but this shit so good god damn. Like idk I just love older people and would love to do this for soemone like help them live a little but truthfully naur. Story is about 2 office workers, the younger one has a crush on his boss and his boss is just living his life. He does nothing except work and go home and is kinda sad about it so his subordinate takes him out to lunch and offers to go to places he’s been wanting to go. The boss is kinda oblivious at first and starts to get the hint. They confess and fuck in the extra chapter they fuck. But slay love this story don’t know why marked as ongoing but it’s super fucking good. Thought it was longer (5 volumes) but this is perfect, no beating around the bush.
A Painter Behind the Curtain
Slay bitch holy shit I don’t really like stuff like period pieces but damn girl this shit was so good it exceeded expectations. Like damn I didn’t expect it to be so good and because of the format I didn’t like it at first and thought it was going to be a fucked up story. And it was at first at the beginning but his life started getting better then worse after a certain point and it’s like holy shit.. Basically the story revolves around Ian, a painter, and a “merchant” named Raymond. And girl this shit ATE. Ian was held hostage and forced to be a ghost painter for a noble family. Raymond is trying to get revenge on a nobleman who killed his father and is using Ian as a gateway into the posh art world. He managed to get in and they fall in love like fr fr. Like he literally abandons the power he was going to get by marrying a fucking PRINCESS by moving with Ian to a foreign land. Honestly one of the best stories I’ve read in a while, I just couldn’t stop. I hope for some side stories about some of the side character like Kaya, Nicholas, their kid, Henry, etc.
