Jukkakukan no Satsujin

Ongoing | Ayatsuji yukito,Kiyohara hiro | 2019 released

Bro...I read the translated novel and it still gets me everytime. It's just sad. I always bad a feeling that the killer was Van. It just seemed sus. The first thing that got to me was when he was "under the weather" and was first to arrive on the island. Before it was unveiled that the killer was indeed van I was confused when the detective was like oh does it stand for Maurice smth but no it was Van Dine. I was like hOld uP and searched a list of the characters and then got it. Bish. It's just so sad for all of them. Idk how Chiori would feel knowing this all happened because of her. Man. It's just sad. I was really rooting for Ellery too. I'm just heartbroken with everything. My emotional baggage and rant aside, this author's works are great. J haven't read Another's novel before but I did watch the anime. I'll probably read the manga then read the novel soon tho.

Migi & Dali

Ongoing | Nami Sano | 2000 released

I dropped this twice cause I wasn't feeling like reading it since I thought it was gonna be some dark satire which I wasn't feeling on reading (I need smth sane and lighthearted these days) Idk why but that was my first impression of it TTTT BUT I'm so glad I picked this up again. I did cause I saw a comment (forgot where) saying that the ending was the best they saw throughout the whole of 2023. And I must say, I absolutely loved it. Had I noticed sooner it was the same author with Sakamoto-kun, I would have picked this back up sooner

Glitch

Ongoing | shima shinya | 2019 released

Interesting how everyone is just taking it up in stride with all the weird creatures they're suddenly living together with. Hope this gets update soon. The concept reminds me of Himaru's summer which is pretty interesting

Summer Ghost: The Complete Collection

Ongoing | | 2022 released

No chapters yet rn but the title seems interesting Edit: Finally picked this back up. At half past three in the morning, here I am bawling my eyes out. It hit pretty deep that's what I can say. Idk what's with the Japanese and summers. For some reason stories set in summer always have a sad or at best bittersweet ending (ex. Anoahana, Spirited Away, Hotarubi no Mori e).

Kaika Apartment

I've perhaps been rereading Harada too much that I was expecting the stories to have some gore or morally questionable parts. While it wasn't what I expected, I truly loved it. The art is fantastic . Reminds me so much of Toilet bound Hanako and Ancient magus bride. Or at least the vibe seems similar for me. Is this really how short it is? I desperately want more of these
