Non Tea Room

Complete | shoowa | 2007 released

One of my favorite mangakas. Love the art style and composition. It's easy to read and moves the story. The first story is a gradual friendship into love about musicians. The second one about the dolls/androids was quite heartbreaking at parts in a really beautiful original story. That's what I love about this author, the stories are original and refreshing and the stark sketchy art really helps tell the stories.

Mazu wa, Hitokuchi.

Complete | Moto Haruhira,Moto Haruko | 20012 released

Very sweet, just so fluffy! (^∇^)I love me an assertive uke and a shy seme, I wish there was more. Also those pigs are so cute, but that they eat them saddens me. It was more of a slice of life about this couple, I would love to see more of their antics. Very heartwarming and pretty art. Im seriously loving sensei! *Just a heads up this is shounen ai and has a single page yaoi extra, so if your looking for smexy scenes this may leave you wanting. ;)

Shinjuku Lucky Hole

Ongoing | kumota haruko | 2012 released

This was actually quite dark but somehow kept a light tone. It's about AV company and the people who work there. It keeps you laughing at times and blends comedy and tragedy well. You don't feel wrecked at the end and that's probably because Kumi doesn't act like a victim. He has this coquettish charm about him even though he went through some fucked up shit. I really like his character. The art is gorgeous, the characters arnt cookie cutter and not ur typical bishi's. They all look distinct and have a bunch of personality. A good read.

Tokyo Shinjuu (totempole)

Ongoing | totempole | 2000 released

A well developed relationship between a kohei x senpai. It's funny and cute and feels realistic. The chapters are long and you get to sink your teeth into these two guys and their antics. Thoroughly enjoyed and can't wait for more. The art is unique simple and quite cartoonish, you arnt getting bishi's here but real people. Although the uke looks like a kewpie doll at times. All in all a ton of personality in a fresh look at working behind the scenes in entertainment. It reminds me a lot of Yamamoto sensei's work, not your everyday yaoi.

Nobody Knows

Ongoing | shoowa | 2000 released

Another fantastic original story from Shoowa sensei. An Ai doll and a human man, it's quiet love and deep emotion impact twist your heart in this psychological sci fi romance. I definately cried a bit in this one, sensei's stories are so unique and I love the art it's clean lines and large panels keep you in the story while emphasizing expressions. Also some very sexy scenes and cute cuddles.

Shizuku Hanabira Ringo no Kaori

Complete | kawai touko | 2008 released

A really good story. Interesting with realism, I love these slice of life stories that take their time and really develop the plot and characters. It reminds me of Yamamoto's, Omairi Desu Yo one of my favorites. This is definately right up there too, I love that family especially the adorable shogi loving jiichan.

Rules

Complete | Miyamoto Kano | 2007 released

About a boy coming to terms with being gay and finding acceptance. Goes into those darker themes full of doubt and angst and beyond. It follows multiple characters in relationships and how they made a place for themselves.

12-ji Kara Hajimaru

Complete | SAKYO Aya,Sakyou Aya | 2000 released

It took some time, but ended in a sexy fluffy cloud. (^_^)

Aioi Musubi

Complete | syaku | 2000 released

Very quiet and introspective. You see the struggle to change the nature of their relationship. Not a lot happens. The story isn't linear but a collection of interactions. Beautiful sketchy art style and the expressions are great. There's this sultry provocative aura that beckons you. The characterization is a bit lacking, I want to love these guys. Very close, with great potential.

Mic and Neo

Complete | Aniya Yuiji | 2000 released

Compared to her other work, it's not as easy to read but it has its funny moments. It has a lot going on but the art is gorgeous and the chibi's are so cute. Also "I see dead people" was done well. It felt rushed at the end a bit.
