Mic and Neo
Compared to her other work, it's not as easy to read but it has its funny moments. It has a lot going on but the art is gorgeous and the chibi's are so cute. Also "I see dead people" was done well. It felt rushed at the end a bit.
Koi ga Odoru New Town
I really like this, can't wait for more. Iijima has no confidence unless he's transformed into Mayu. He's alone until he makes a friend at his new job. It's a cross dressing bar so they get to be themselves without judgement and his coworker Rina turns out to be someone from his past. How will there new relationship develop?
Sabita Yoru Demo Koi Wa Sasayaku
Ogeretsu sensei has just moved to top of my list, her work is amazing. I read these stories out of order, but I think it gave me a different perspective. That she is able to depict both sides of abuse and not completely villianize the abuser is really impressive to me. Don't get me wrong I did not like kan-chan in this story and hated his actions but I understood that what he did was reprehensible but it's not as simple as labeling him evil. In Kanchans story you see what made him change and in this story he clearly hates himself, that I was able to feel so much for this "evil" character really impresses me. That being said I so so happy that Souma got away from that horrible abusive relationship and found someone who can truely protect and treasure him. They are so adorable together and super sexy. As always sensei's art is gorgeous.
Illumination
"A volume of stories about seperatinand insurmountable distances.." A quote from the authors note and an apt description for this collection. It left me feeling quite down, but I liked this look into peoples lives. All of these stories sort of feel like they could occur in someway. Sort of like a small peek into the everyday sorta. I like the art style too.
Shinobeba Koi
This was so charming, I loved it. The art is great and the characters were so sweet and the sexy moments were fun. I want more, this author was just added to my fave list. What a simple heartwarming story. That scrunchy scene, I about exploded from the intense cuteness.
Parallel Lines
I wish there was more of every story. Morsels to taste and leave you craving more, a collection of short stories about sweet beginnings.
Yamada To Shounen
This was one of my first yaoi mangas and it is still one of my absolute favorites. What a gem. The sweet love unfolds slowly and naturally you see their relationship blossom as they get closer. A perfect blend of shounen ai with yaoi, not super spicy but satisfying and sweet and unrushed. The art style is endearing and oh so perfect for this fluffy adorable pair. It's simple line drawing and unique style is refreshing and whimsical. I absolutely adore this sweet and sloppy pairing.
Harukaze no Etranger
This picks up right where we left off with the story of Mio and Shun. We meet Shuns family and noww there's 100% more Fumi! Gosh darn, that kid is cute. The struggles of living with family ensues. We're really getting to see the tough emotions swirling through Shuns head as he struggles with accepting himself and being openly gay in his hometown. And the cheerful Mio tries to reassure and comfort him and us with his contagious positivity and adorableness. Though he has his own demons. I can't wait to see what happens next. The warm glow continues accept now it's winter on the mainland. The art has only gotton better and never fails to put me in awe, as I take in the lush details, atmosphic backgrounds and gamut of expressions.
Okubyoumono Ni I Love You
A good story and interesting. Bishi's and cute nervous moments. Just what I was in the mood for.
