Ghosts of Greywoods
This was yet another excellent GL story!! It tackled sensitive issues well and did not romanticize them much. The two girls are loveable, and the character Lynda was very well thought out. This one has made it higher on my list, but it's a must-read-again!!!
Serenade (keum Kyesoo)
I really love this story, and I think in a sense it touched on the topic of the truth behind a relationship... the psycho woman definitely made the series a lot more thrilling, but I just wished there was more of an explanation. I wished the main couple would've been explained better, like how they came to love each other so much. I also wished that the author provided an explanation of what happened there at the end. All that aside, the side characters were very loveable. It was genius how this story was told through Yeongju's serenade, when she began playing, till the very end. Her song was their love story, and that was really the beauty of music.
Green Forest
i was confused for most of it but in the end, it was great ♡
Opium
THE STORY IS SO GOOOOOD i am in love with Maria QAQ and kyeongju is so pretty... this was overall such an interesting story with some of the most beautiful art i've ever seen. I love a historical - contemporary piece like this, and I just want more LOL
Just Right There
acc so good. the depiction of a healthy relationship is amazing!! It's also really educational (if yk what i mean~) The couple and side couple are so cute!!! overall such a great story. There were some loose ties, but ill ignore those and give it 5* anyway because I finished it all in one day <3
I Love You So Much, I Hate You
The relationship was very mature, and the characters are actually REASONABLE. damn i love these kinds of stories :') ... i love that the author took a realistic approach to it, and I enjoyed this short series a lot <3
Would you? Could you?
I love mature romance stories like this one. They're much more real and heartwarming. I ended up loving all the characters so much, because honestly they're relatable and very human. I was hurt for them, and happy for them. It was so satisfying when the main couple FINALLY confessed their honest feelings. COMMUNICATION IS KEEYYYYYYY, especially when the timing is right. I'd give it a 4.5/5: i would if i could (hehe get it? ;)) but that doesn't exist so I round up. The only problem is that it wasn't super engaging but that was due to the disordered pages.
My Girlfriend's Ex-boyfriend
I think this manhwa taught me a lot about the past, present, and future. What's in the past stays in the past, and it doesn't change, so we can only come to accept it. We shouldn't dwell on the past events, and instead focus on the things we can control: the present and future. We should look forward into the future, and appreciate the past for what it's worth, whether it is painful or bittersweet. All the memories should be cherished, and we should continue to live happily. It also taught me about the importance of communication, although applying it to real life is easier said than done.
White Angels Have No Rest
this is more of a psychological thriller than a GL tbh .... :"))) literally i dont even know how to feel about this. The rape shit was messed up. At the same time, I went through waves of emotions on how i felt about the main couple and side story. Tbh, I just hope yeon young and soobin and mihye can live happily. I didn't read the prequel to this series, so I had no idea what they referred to half the time LMAO, but I don't know if I will ever bring myself to read White Angels Have No Wings. It'll just mess with me tbh, knowing how everything turns out in the end. THIS STORY WAS JUST SO AJAJSKDHAJKSDKJ Yeonhwa is j messed up dude... TuT sheesh... i'm rating it a 3/5 but tempted to rate higher because of the thrill. I'm keeping it low thought because of how straight-up messed up this is.
