Love Me Doctor!
[DNF at chapter 32] The main couple's relationship just makes me uncomfortable and it seems very shallow and manipulative. I thought it would get better but so far it didn't. The MC is also so clueless and naive it hurts. I'd love to read more about the MC's best friend tho, it's a shame.
Kiss me, Liar
[DNF at chapter 47] The author literally threw the whole plot and character development out the window... near the end... I was really rooting for it to be different than most stories since the MC seemed to actually realise how messed up the relationship was and tried to actively change it and then... it went down the drain. Did the story suddenly get cancelled or shortened? Frustrating af.
Pearl Boy
[DNF at chapter 31] I liked it because it was cute and with a pretty art style but... after some time it just turned into a big nonsensical mess. Someone commented "I honestly don’t think it was even necessary to take it to that extent [...], seems like it was done mostly for shock factor" and I (and from what I can see many others) agree. (very general spoilers) Also, I'd really like to read about Pilwon and Juha's past more - I feel like it would make a more interesting story and much more sense because the current events are just... too much lol (and Doosik suddenly being shounen manga protagonist lvl powerful is ridiculous). I liked when the story was about Juha and Doosik's personal problems and relationship not this plot from a shitty action and drama movie mixed with a fairytale. And I really hate what the author did with Pilwon - he's so cartoonish rn, he had a lot more potential than being reduced to a nonsensical all-powerful antagonist. Especially since we didn't really have time to explore his character before - I'm pretty sure it would be more shocking and hurtful to experience his character the way Juha did - from the beginning of their story. He's just so flat... Actually, all of their characters are nearly nonexistent - the only traits they have are those needed to drive the story forward. Juha is hurt, Doosik is warm and caring and Pilwon is bad TM.
Ignition Point
I read the raws and wtf don't even waste time on this, it doesn't make any sense. I don't usually have problem with non-con but this story... It bothered me so much, probably because it wasn't what I was expecting after the prequel at all. The only upside is that the artstyle is beautiful - if you look only at that and shut down your brain completely - it's pretty and hot.
Secret Relationship
Oh my fucking god this is insufferable, the characters have me at my fucking limit. The beggining was cheesy and stupid, then I got pretty into it but at this point (chapter 60) I'm just so done with it and bored. It's just drama and more drama, more frustration and nothing ever get answered. When binging it you can feel how the author has no idea where this is going and just writes anything for more chapters. The story goes through so many strange different stages (rivals to lovers? some kinda love square? past trauma? poli? flashbacks? back to square 1?), and the goal is nowhere in sight, hell I don't even know what the goal is. How did we even get from the story in chapter 1 to what it is now? There have been so many various plot points introduced and NONE of them get resolved, none of the questions I had in mind have been answered. For the characters... First of all they're supposed to be grown men, around 30 yo and they all act like teenagers. Furthermore, they are SO inconsistent its painful. Daon... I just really want to strangle him at this point. He didn't reaaally do anything wrong but he brings my frustration to a new level. Also, they constantly say how intelligent he is but damn he dumb - I know, I know that he's indebted, gaslighted, sentimental and scared but still... Seonghyeon is precious and I love him but for god's sake stop being so stubborn, you deserve much better. I can't even count how many times Daon let him down and treated him like shit, can't he have some dignity? Every time I hope it's the final one, that Seonghyeon will finally let him go, that I can have my katharsis and Daon can come crawling on his knees for his attention. Jaemin is just trash, come on - he's such a gaslighter. And I thought his story with Daon would end with the confession scene, that would be nice - I hoped for a subplot exposing his past and motives, but suddenly his motive is liking Daon? Excuse me, since when. His story arc should never come back the way it did. It was much more original and interesting before. Suhyeon, well I thought he would be an interesting character but... he's not really. Sometimes I kinda feel bad for him but then again, not really. The author constantly teases us with some important information and then bails on it. I don't even get what his character is supposed to be or what role in the plot he serves anymore. I was hoping that we would get a subplot like I already mentioned - about his and Jaemin's past and their little mind-games, I thought they had some interesting dynamic going on but the more I know the worse and more boring it gets. It would also make sense to keep them in the story like this because honestly I don't even see them as possible love interests at all - they seem more like obstacles to Daon and Seonghyeon's relationship than anything else. Overall, I had flashbacks to YTC lol I liked some parts of it more but generally... Frustrating drama that doesnt go anywhere.
Yours to Claim
[At chapter 56] Looking at others' opinions I thought I wouldnt like any characters and find it very frustrating but... It's not that bad and I actually like Yahwi. He's the most grounded and reasonable character. Maybe written slightly inconsistent at times but that's it. He actually seems realistic - his actions makes sense and he's not always in the right but he's trying. He's slowly losing those qualities by getting too obsessed with the MC tho... The MC is a little frustrating, like he has the mind of a 5yo. I dislike how he always sees Yahwi in a bad light and Cain in a good light. How can he be disilusioned and even negative with one of them (the one he "likes"?) and so naive with the other. I hate how everything has to go the way he wants (but he doesnt even know what he wants), how inconsiderate he is and most of all how he just makes assumptions and never listens and just storms out in the middle of conversations instead. The whole plot is him throwing a tantrum because Yahwi sometimes doesn't act like he wants him to act. Cain... is just plain creepy, point-blank and simple. It just makes the fact that the MC sees him as someone who could do no wrong ridiculous. His whole subplot is also just so... It doesn't really fit in the story. The sudden reincarnation theme and his behaviour are so outlandish, it doesnt fit in with the rest of the story being realistic. So... To put it shortly, the MC is trash, glorified trash. Idk why anyone would like him. Actually writing this made me realise I dislike the story more than I thought lol
