The ending made me tear me ngl. I didn’t find Mathew younger self cute until the last chapter. Oh Patoto it was so sad to see him waiting and anicpitating. The fact that Jin had considered to take him in and give him a home and a space makes me wanna cry. I’m so happy he built that home. Beautiful story. I do wonder if they story was be complete and happy if jin didn’t know Mathew was little potato he knew since childhood. I’m sure he would have still tried to save him Atleast but would they really still be able to come togather and Jin overcoming everything if he didn’t remember? Hm. Anyway this comment really perfectly describes how I also feel “ Without Matthew there’s no redemption, no healing, no hope. Matthew was the one who waited. Matthew’s persistence and unwavering hope are what saved Jin in the end. He was the one who held onto that tiny thread of connection, even when it seemed hopeless. Matthew didn’t just bring Jin back into his life—he reminded him of the person he used to be, what his original purpose used to be. It made him realise how sidetracked he had been for so many years after Brandon took him in, that he had lost sight of his original purpose, consumed by the apparent need for survival and power. But above all, it reminded him that the reason why he entered the mob never was to climb the ranks, but to afford a dignified life for him and that little kid he wanted to protect at all costs. “I always choose him”: it’s not just love—it’s devotion, guilt, hope, and this desperate need for redemption all rolled into one. If Matthew hadn’t chased him, Jin would’ve stayed lost in that cycle of violence and power, forgetting what it was to feel again. And Jin, despite everything, chose him in the end. Not power, not ambition—just Matthew. I may not ironically have cried unstoppably from chapter 74 onwards. I’m so moved!”- the smut was gooood. I lied this story better than the authors last one I believe. I love the characters though I feel Jin was so freaking mean at times it almost broke my heart and afraid how much it would have hurt Mathew. But Mathew is green flag. Loved that for him. Jin is sorta a red flag but he’s in the mafia and it’s all good. He’s just trying to protect and survive in his own ways. Brandon was drawn so zaddy(love black haired ceo) but damn why he gotta be the villian. I felt like he should have been the design for the main lead but then he would look too similar to hun I guess. Anyway I liked this story. 8.9/10 wished they was alittle more humor.
