: cute concept of telling story from one perspective, then the other. three couples multistory.

: single dad sazawa saves fumichi who is passed out in the trash. never explains backstory, which is frustrating-- death of sazawa's wife, how fumichi ended up chained to the terrible bar where he works without pay, etc. good story, but needs more explanation. ends before full resolution, but is actually a nice open ending. sh-ai.

1) persistent ryuunosuke finally works his way into the heart of serious worker manaya. stock, but cute. 2) younger shima convinces older hikaru that his feelings are real. stock.

highly persistent toru finally overcomes resistance of the finicky yagi, who has a perfect "mask" he struggles to remove

high schooler falls in love with the author next door. good if you ignore the age gap and skip over the cultural festival chapter which unfortunately falls into the have-sex-right-after-attempted-assault trope (sigh). do like the characters.

mixed feelings... incest ain't my beat, pretend one is adopted. with that change, it has good angst. side character yama is mvp

sequal to boku no kawaii yopparai, but give's chii's backstory-- MAJOR drama and angst. not at all fluff like the prequel, be warned. also a bit confusing for the past timelines, but essentially: chii in love with shinobu, hisashi in love with shige, hisashi uses chii as a replacement (p cruelly), chii finally confesses but hisashi interferes (i think tricks him into sleeping together and then shows shinobu?).

argh, I want to like this more but it needs to be much longer for as many plotlines as it wants to include. things are rushed, and you jump into the middle of things, and you get only half-resolution for anyone... anyway, tale of four brothers who (of course) all end up gay and their four respective partners.

cliche saved-from-abusive-ex, but it has some nice touches and characterization
