yknow. its stories like this that make me realize that i truly prefer simple works that have happy endings. im glad this one had a good ending, i actually enjoyed the last like 25 chapters a lot and actually spent my time reading and getting attached to the characters. i want to entirely disregard the first 33 chapters if i can but it wouldnt make for much character development if all that bullshit hadnt happened. i still cant really fathom kasuga's devotion to nakamura. like it came out of nowhere and swallowed up his entirety to the point where he was ready to die with her? idk that shit was wild and i hated it. i hate nakamura tbh and i never found her character worth sympathizing with or likable at all. the other girl too was so weird. her obsession w kasuga made her even worse than nakamura at times. hoenstly the one i hated the absolute most for the majority of the story was kasuga himself. the blatant disregard for those who care about him and want the best for him all for what? some stupid girl who makes you feel alive? even if shes clearly psychotic and disgusting. idk it was so weird i tried to speed thru it all as fast as i could. im glad they didnt murder someone or anything and it was all limited to just being perverts or whatever. honestly it made me feel so dirty i hated the first part. ofc we come to sympathize and want the best for kasuga after he starts to heal and change into a better version of himself. that said, i adore aya and shes easily my fav character in all of this. i aspire to be her actually. shes so fucking cool. i wouldnt say i was ever necessarily sad at any point in this bc i think everyone got what they deserved. im satisfied w the ending but more than half of it was ridiculous 9/10

yo the side couple should be the main couple in all honestly. i didnt really care that much for the main pairing? like their biggest issue is that their relationship development was too quick and it didnt really seem like minsuk liked bexan that much? the whole situaiton w the ex made that even worse and i just felt plain bad for bexan but like idk he was sorta annoying too. the way he dealt w his mom and all that made no sense to me lmao like he literally made everyone go out to mf siberia and found exactly what he wanted - a pack and even his birth mom! and instead of hearing her out and trying to be happy he escaped and cut ties altogether?? idk it made no sense to me. anyWAYS THE REAL REASON THIS IS GETTING A GOOD SCORE FROM IS ME IS BC OF DIESEL. sigh beautiful, poor diesel. i mean hes happy and living a great life now and i could not be happier for him but the shit he went thru was awful. but i loved their relationship. it was so poetic even from the very first panel of them together. their love was so angsty compared to bexan's but i started preferring them at some point. i love the conclusion for them too sigh. they shouldve been the main pairing i want more of them :,) 7/10

man i feel like an squid reading this LMAO. theyre all so gorgeous that i feel insecure as hell :,,,) i need to go work out smh. anyways its getting a bit more interesting now but their relationship devleopment is really really slow. ichimura is also like basically my least fav type of ml (the really hot and really cool but also really hard to read type, extroverted yet not expressive) but hes so damn fine that i dont care. fl too, my god shes so beautiful i hold my breath every time i see her. anyways this is more of an experience bc of how nice the art style is so ill just take it as such.

ah man its been a really long time since ive binged a good manga and this was great. i knew it would be bc of highly acclaimed the manga is but it honestly surpassed my expectations i loved it a lot. the art is drop dead gorgeous honestly its fucking stunning i really am obsessed with it but more than that the characters are so great and im so sad to see a few of them go. im really excited abt re: especially bc i honestly started siding with the ccg more after the owl suppression arc so im glad we get to spend more time there. i love suzuya and hes honestly the only other character other than kaneki who id read an entire 150 chapters for, if they existed. give juuzou a spin off! he deserves it i love him. kaneki is a sweet sweet boy and im so sad that hes had to go through so much since hes turned into a ghoul but i really hope the poor kid can catch a break for a while at least as haise. the only ghouls i even like anymore are yomo and touka (ill give in to ayato if he starts being nicer to his sister smh), yoshimura, nishiki, hinami, banjo and the gang and maybe a few more idk but yeah. anyways im excited for tg re: and im mostly glad it lived up to the hype that tokyo ghoul has garnered over the years! 9.5/10
